Everytime i see huge comp videos (the MAJORS, NCA, Worlds, etc), sometimes i notice what coaches (especially female coaches) are wearing at that time.
For example: courtney smith pope is one of my favorites. She surely has good sense of fashion in her. I love light blue and half shoulder dress that she wore at worlds 2012.
i also love Tara Cain's blue strapless dress at world 2011. it looks stunning on her :)
there are so many coaches who also wear gorgeous outfit that i have seen on video but i just don't know their name yet :D
btw, i fully aware that every coach has their own style. If i'm not mistaken, i see some coaches like to wear just casual t-shirt even at prestigious event like worlds.
so, what style of clothes that your coach always wears at comp? (especially at huge comp like NCA or Worlds or another prestigious events/comp) is it casual, formal, fashionable, edgy, or even unique style? :)

I'm ok with coaches wearing dresses, but some of the fashion choices I've seen are just God-awful. If a coach has to constantly pull her skirt down, or take baby steps because she doesn't really know how to walk in her platform stiletto pumps, that's an unwise style choice.

Exactly! You are not going clubbing. You are going to to you JOB which is working with children. There's no way you could spot a kid in that hoochie dress. I've always preferred a uniform looking polo with the gym name on it and jeans or dress pants.
Speaking of kids in hoochie wear - our second gym made the kids travel to UCA in what the owners deemed "business casual wear". Which meant on the plane they were wearing dresses/skirts and heels/flats. The coach's reasoning behind it was that they were not going to have fun but to take care of business. While I appreciate the philosophy, as a parent having my cps ready for a 7AM flight wearing pencil skirts and sandals in March leaving from the Northeast was ridiculous not to mention uncomfortable for them during the flight.

Our gym will usually wear something casual at one day comps and at two day comps on day 1 they will wear something matching like a matching sublimated shirt representing our gym that they all have or a nice collared shirt that has their name and our gym's logo embroidered on it or something like that. On day 2 they dress nicer sometimes dresses or skirts for the girls and nice pants and a shirt for the guys. At worlds they dress nicely both days I believe. My coach had heels on that she could walk in but they weren't ideal for jumping up in down in so she wore hello kitty slippers that matched her outfit which was hilarious. I think our gym looks classy when they all match in our gym's attire and then they are dressed up on day 2.

At our gym one day comps are usually casual. We wear one of the program shirts or our team shirts. For two day nationals and stuff we usually dress casually the first day (like for one day comps) and dress up the second day. Though the male coaches usually slack on that except for like three of them.

Our coaches always match with a color scheme. Like the first day they might wear blue and the second day they might wear black. (Our gym colors are blue and green, but we use black for shirts a lot.) They always try to dress up, but not overdue it!

Our coaches dress professional while dressing cute as well. I think it's important for coaches to dress up because they are representing a business.

Years ago when Ben told me that CSP wore a different outfit to every competition because of "superstitious reasons", I was like man...I want her closet!
And all the coaches I've ever had dress up for competitions, but not to the point of heels..with the exception of CSP, but hey, she can wear heels if she wants to because she can rock them!

We do business professional. I'm always in either dress pants, a skirt or a dress and heels. I have a few go-to pairs of heels that are comfortable enough for competition and I bring flip flops just in case. :p

It's whatever they prefer! If you want to dress up then please do but I'm not going to think less of a program if you don't!!

This is what our coaches wear to comp and I love that they all match but they still add their own flair!!

My CP wanted to steal those slippers. That is all.

Sometimes I question what coaches are wearing. If your boobs are hanging out and you basically have on a napkin for a skirt... This is a cheer competition, not a club. Little kids are looking up to you...
I may add that little kids are not only lookup to them but looking up AT them. I am still scarred by the memory of the coaches' dance-off at Jamfest Nationals in Chicago 2011, when a coach and owner from another program were wearing very short dresses up on stage. I was standing right in front of the stage with our Mini's and now know wayyyy more about those women than I ever wanted to.
