Shame for having it at a location that either can't or won't accommodate the entire competition. Competing outdoors at Hollywood Studios and being required to purchase a Disney admission ($89 if purchasing one day) is ridiculous! Plus the teams at Hollywood Studios don't have an opportunity to watch anyone outside their level that day. Totally cut off from the rest of your gym.

IMO EP's & others really need to take a hard look at who really are the major $$$$ contributors in this industry....the lower levels!! Do the math, they contribute FAR MORE to the end profit yet are many many times given "less" in venue, awards...etc. Without them, there would be no paid worlds bids.

I truly am a equal supporter of ALL levels, just don't see the "need" to keep only levels 4&5 in the field house for both days. But I'm also not a fan of scheduling performance times by division level/age (guess its easier for judging/awards). I miss the days of competions starting with tiny's in level order and ending with seniors in level order....guess I'm just old school, or just plain ol old...

This is the first year my girls are going! We are at Broward Elite in Davie, Florida. We're bringing our y2(large), sr2(large) and sr4(small)

Does Roy still coach there??

Also, I thought the schedule would give me peace of mind to sleep finally, but nope.

totally agree with you here. all the lower levels have to be all over the place. kind of stinks. last time i checked we all pay the same price to compete....

I can't understand how a schedule nearly a week before the comp can have so many mistakes (haven't seen it, just going by the posts). How difficult is it to create a spreadsheet and when each team registration comes in, list the team name, division, coed/allgirl, level, # athletes, etc. Data-sort is a wonderful thing. Click-BOOM! Your division splits are ready to go. I get the crossover scheduling issues - that must be a nightmare, but it is really frustrating not to have even a preliminary OOA posted for a competition that has two different competition arenas so far apart.

I don't love that all levels except level 1 get to have consistency in their days as far as time of day. Dance gets to go first and have awards in one day and have day 2 all day not performing. And then on day 2 they start late due to awards for some levels. I'll admit I am jealous as they get to be over and done with by 2.

this is UCA, right? i mean it's not like a brand new competition company or something like that. NCA & Cheersport got it right with over 900 teams....

I think it was only sent to the contact person who was asked to look at their divisions and make sure they were ok. They asked not to send it out all over since they are taking the changes and reposting tomorrow for everyone, hopefully with everything correct. Steven is right, there are a lot of mistakes. Tons.

Also, there are no cities listed for the gyms. I'm super happy to have a very generic gym name so people can't find us. Bahaha.

So they hope to put this performance order out today then?

I know your disappointment of not competing in the field house and I do not want you to think im saying this with an attitude because I'm not but As a parent of a level 5 athlete I just want to remind you that every level 5 CP did not start as a level 5.I guess the fitting words are " been there done that "....

I understand the frustration about not competing in the HP Field House. But this competition is so large, it's not possible for every division to compete there. Even if they had put Levels 4 & 5 somewhere else on Day 1, it would still leave out 1-2 divisions. So instead of just leaving out one division, they decide to put the same group in there both days. I think that's more fair than leaving just one group out.

Anyone coming to this competition for the first time could have easily figured out before the schedule came out that UCA only puts Levels 4 & 5 there, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise.

Also wanted to add, because I know this is coming - UCA has a contract with Disney which is why they can't move the competition elsewhere. Also, a lot of gyms come to this competition because it is at Disney, believe it or not.

I feel like this comp is a real big one to lower levels that may not travel as much as some of the level 4 and 5s. For these families I'm sure they are planning on going to the parks anyway.
