That's INSANE! They have to go to the Summit.....or worlds as a Sr team! (Just like I wish Green Rays would!!)

It's clearly not hurting them as much last year.8 "doubles" are thrown, 5 are underrotated with technique that just screams a broken knee, torn ACL, broken leg, etc. At what point does a coach weigh the risk vs. reward and see that things need to change? Performance errors are one thing (the one that landed on her butt looked like a performance error), but seriously.. I've been keeping my mouth shut about Fantasy lately because a. I love the routine, and b. it's just bringing up drama that was annoying after the 100th time, but putting your athletes on the floor with skills they're clearly not capable of competing safely (I say COMPETING because they very well could be practicing them safely) is bad coaching, at any gym.

On ECE J5 a lot of those kids crossover to Worlds teams and to ask families to either stay in Florida for over a week for both Worlds and the Summit or fly down twice is rediculous. That's INSANE! They have to go to the Summit.....or worlds as a Sr team! (Just like I wish Green Rays would!!)
Obviously I have a dog in this fight, so I'm not going to start a world war of it.Even if they aren't being hit for it on the scoresheet (though at Worlds their tumbling in this video would have given them over 5 points in deductions), I still don't think it's okay/smart to do it..
Smoed closer view

I saw two underrotated doubles. Not 5.
But hey, I suppose it's subjective.
People always seem to fail to notice other teams with under rotated doubles, AKA a team they competed against to start off with, but they always get knocked.
SO your entitled to that opinion. I just happen to think Troy is a great coach that wouldn't risk the safety of his girls.
I totally understand what you're saying. Watching the video, I still see two, minus the tumbling bust which was her first time throwing that, she's a spunky little nugget, I doubt that'll happen again.Of course tumbling technique is subjective, and I've never once said PCM is the only team to do it, just commenting on the video that was there. I'd say there are 4 now that I rewatch. The first girl to double, the girl who does an arabian to double (to her butt, again I said this is probably performance error), 2/3 of the 3 that do roundoff handspring double to the right. Giving that 3rd girl a bit more credit than she may deserve but it's basically fully rotated. I can't question Troy's coaching from the inside, just from the outside, and if I see a team with doubles like that (again, PCM is NOT the only gym/team that has this, Cali Lady Bullets underrotate quite a few of their doubles as well), it screams bad coaching to me.
I mean there was a whole thread on it really...lol.Ahh well west coast drama never gets to the midwest apparently.
