But I really like food and being able to afford gas in my car.. which has a brand new battery and is still as dead as a doornail.

I don't like this new schedule. I have to work today, so no live feed and only a quick few moments on the FB app. Waste of my live feed and I'm missing everything. From what I saw on twitter, a lot of the large coed/large senior teams already boarded planes for home, which is good for school purposes, but odd to me since worlds is still happening. I feel terrible for the medium teams that barely got 5 hours of sleep, if that, due to winding down and nerves. You can tell it really hurt them by this mornings performances. And hearing the milk house is empty makes me sad for the kids competing finals today.

Guess the usasf met their goal of killing worlds.

Ditto. Although I'm at work watching. I'm a librarian...but I don't go out on the desk until 1 (during small senior... I dare someone to ask me a question during then ). But as of now, I'm back in my cubicle watching....and nobody competes during my lunch break...so boo to that

It was 3 days last year, but it was Fri/Sat/Sun, but Friday got in the way of ICU teams. I think USASF just needs to quit handing out so many bids. A lot of these teams this weekend need to take a look at the restricted division, and you could eliminate a lot of them if most competitions had a minimum score you had to meet to get an AL bid, then we could just do it all in two days, heck, might be able to cut it down to even one day.

Or just invite everyone. I've always been a proponent of just getting rid of at-large bids altogether and just letting anyone attend worlds if they've competed 3 or more times in bid comps in a worlds division. You could still give out all the paid bids you want (and those paid bids are meaningful in large divisions to be sure) but let's get rid of the notion that an at-large worlds' bid is prestigious when the 19th place team at NCA gets one.

Now if you do that, you have to have the competition in a venue that has the size and infrastructure to support the large number of teams you'd have attending. But it can be done, because NCA and Cheersport do it.
