Knowing CEA to be the trendsetters they are, it'll probably be a thing now to have celebrity emcees at your showcase.

We are on a pretty tight budget so Ill probably have to settle for a local alderman or the Gator Festival queen. I wonder if Drew Brees is available? Hmmmm

Ohhhh can I come if he is available? Please? Please? Please? Im just down the road and around some corners.

Man, is this what it's going to be like after the Cali showcase? I'm gonna need my boxing gloves and a glass of wine! LOL

slightly more tame.. things involving teal usually cause more of an uproar than normal things. the blue and black teams are usually pretty well liked around here (i.e. MT, CA, and Cali.)

And ONCE AGAIN- I'd like to remind everyone who had the number 1 dance at Worlds. Which would be....DUN DUN DUN, Senior Elite. So to say they don't 'perform well' is a factual error. To say they don't perform in a method that grooves with your jive is an opinion, and actually has a basis.

Love them, hate them, but the judges liked all the aspects of the performance. As they are the ones with the worlds title.

I'd also like to make the statement that part of performing is how well you execute. And some teams lost worlds because they didn't hit well. Unless I'm in a venue that values my non-skills performance, that is essentially useless to me. This is not dance, this is cheer.
thank you ive been waiting for someone to say this...it is not dance it is cheer but then again even in dance youre not going to get first sassing around like youre in the hottest creature that walked the planet without well executed leaps turns and flexibility

Ambers fall looks so rough, you could tell she was really shaken by that but I love how you can see the older girls consoling her and talking to her and then she busts out a crazy pyramid haha
I must say that fall really gave me the biggest fright I was so impressed she got back up and hit the pyramid...it looked like she travelled over the bases heads and landed on the floor beside them but what I watched was blurry. I can only imagine what a huge fright she would have gotten!

The one thing I find I dislike about Senior Elite year by year is the lack of group standing tumbling. There are clearly many athletes on the team capable of the same tumbling pass, but I never like the way they orient it, throwing the same pass multiple times in different formations. Idk just a personal thing. I love to see large senior routines set up like Stars in like... 2008 and 2009. Large groups of two/one to fulls, large group of 2/3 to doubles, then maybe a smaller group of whip doubles or w.e it might be.
Same! I think it makes it look like they have less tumbling than they do and is less impressive. I think this is something CA do well.

Social media or on the mat, they weren't being cocky in any kind of way. How can you be "cocky" and act like you know you're going to win when you're in 3rd after day 1 and you're competing day 2 and you don't know if you're going to hit? That makes no sense. Last year is over.

haha that's exactly what I thought! I was like 1. I don't remember anyone looking cocky from any team in large senior finals 2. they were in 3rd changed their routine and in the video of prizegiving their reactions when they are not 4th mean this just makes no sense

Again, the poster never said they actually were cocky or presumptuous about winning in any way. When the moment to take the mat comes, teams get into the mindset they need to overcome their nerves and hit their routine the best they can. Anyone who's ever performed, as an athlete, an artist or whatever can relate to that I think. He felt that SE's performance mindset was more confidence rooted, whereas in his opinion, SS were more in a "nothing to lose" vibe. It doesn't mean the athletes themselves were over confident at all, on or off the mat. I've seen the shiest and most humble people put on very memorable and confident performances ! It doesn't make them cocky people.

Besides, they also said it was THEIR opinion, and that they didn't mean it in a bad way...
