do some teams compete without wearing bows...... shame on me, but im so sick of the way they look

Last year, our team Red girls started out with this cute rhinestoned round clip that went over the pony tail holder. It looked super cute but people didn't like it. I don't think it states anywhere in the rule book that bows are mandatory.

im sick of the way bows look and im not sure why, nothing against bows or people that wear them i just wish we didnt have to worry about it hahaha
id like something different for this season

I HATE BOWS - I know not a very cheer mom thing to say but I just don't like them and neither do my kids. Only thing worse is a cheer mom wearing them

What about just smaller bows? I know I am getting tired of this humongous bows especially on the little one's. They don't need to look like they have sparkly airplanes on their head.

Several high schools in SC have ditched bows and just gone for a straight bun.

Cp's team did buns one year with a bow. The bun was a little on the side and was very easy to do as long as the hair was long enough, the bun was made tightly and the sides slicked down with gel. Otherwise it looked very sloppy.

f5 didnt wear bows for day 1 worlds 2012! there are other options if you're sick of bows

No they didn't but I wish they would have. I thought they looked great! I heard about GA doing them, can't remember if it was for Worlds.

it was for worlds! it was different but i did like the look of red's georgia on the other hand...... :wham:

If I remember correctly Georgia's didn't have rhinestones.

no sorry im pretty sure they didnt either! i liked reds cause they had the poofs and their hair looked pretty.. georgia was slicked and they just looked like genies to me..

clip on flowers sound super cute, i know wcss did them in 2010 for their latin theme, but i could imagine a lot of other uses for them
