I love how comments are made about PCM however so many commenting haven't ever done the skill or coached kids doing them so they don't know what it's like.... And Comments never get made about Cali, CA, etc when their athletes land short, or rip skills off the floor, or bust all over the place

I'll agree with your last point. Many big gyms have horrible tumbling technique that never gets talked about. I don't, however, agree with your first point. There's this mindset in cheerleading that in order to coach a skill you have to be able to do it. In the time I coached gymnastics I never got that vibe. Heck, the girl I learned coaching from had never done gymnastics a day in her life but was an elite power tumbling coach and judged elite artistic gymnastics. I think cheerleaders who share your opinion need to jump off their high horse and stop acting like they are somehow superior in knowledge in this industry to those who are less capable, simply because they have a double full.

well when i read this i do believe it say either done the skill or have been able to successfully coach kids doing them... keyword OR. it just irks me seeing gyms like PCM getting called out year after year when videos of these other well known programs have kids doing the exact same thing but not a word ever. I am not sure if its just the name of that program or what. I am not on a high horse however I do know maybe some of those kids are just starting to work that skill and dont quite have it yet. When kids learn a full they dont just always make it all the way around and tend to learn in quarters. same with a BHS it isnt always straight legs pointed toes and can look more like a frog and in time and more attention to the detail of the skill they will work out those kinks. you have to start somewhere and i just feel like if people want to call out technique dont just call out one program and rip them to pieces call out everyone. but maybe thats just me

I agree. Cali and Cheer Athletics have some of the worst tumbling technique I've ever seen in my life on many of their level 5 teams, I think it's just the fact that they're big gyms with more successful teams so it's not called out tbh.

Really? I always love to watch their tumbling! Especially the boys, I've always applaud them, but maybe that's just me...

Their boys are fine, in my opinion. Watching most of their girls on level 5 tumble scares me, with the exception of a few.
hmmmmmm guess we will just have to disagree on this one. I even remember when I watched my first cheer video (right after I had quit gymnastics), it was panthers 2011, and thinking "Wow, not all cheerleaders have awful technique".

I think Panthers 2011 is a bit of an exception to what I'm talking about. That team was flawless. I'm speaking mainly on a lot of the girls on Cheetahs. But I've made my comment, I'd be able to point out 1000 different gyms with many athletes with bad technique.

This is not directed at you personally.

. Yes really people tend to be selective in what they see especially when awarding globes in November. When some teams may give an individual viewer life based off of an incomplete showcase performance, another team is held to a ridiculous standard for November. Some teams may even get a do over for their showcase -performing twice. Wouldn't that be nice if that happened on the competition floor. Or people look at teams through rose colored glasses based off of past glory no matter how long ago it was.

Yes Fantasy had a rough showcase - their coach was the first to admit it. Like I said it is only November. People have to cool their jets - you are not going to last until April!
