I actually don't think SE did that terrible. I can see why in the athletes minds, that they thought it was a disastrous performance, but from an outer point of view, I think they look pretty good.

I am dying to see a coed elite routine like their 09 World's routine, I have yet to see another routine as good as that for them.

No one's sugar coating anything. That was FAR from a hot mess. And you're looking at it from an angle, so it's not going to look the same. Most routines look cluttered from a side view or angle.

^ Am I the only one that was actually expecting worse by the way everyone was talking? They performed exactly how I would expect any Large Senior team to perform in that kind of venue. No energy, no pressure, no competition. It's hard to really push yourself that extra mile in a routine when there won't be any fruits of your labor so to speak.

I was thinking the exact same thing while watching it. The way some folks were talking, I half expected someone to crap on the mat or something (ala Cartman). I really enjoy watching them. Yeah, not their best performance but what a beautiful team with a beautiful routine. I'm excited to see it all come together!

One thing about SE that has always kind of bothered me is that their transitions aren't as seamless as they should be, they always seemed so clustered. I can forgive the errors because it is the beginning of the season and their difficulty is through the roof, but those transitions kill me! I don't think they looked a hot mess, but they definitely didn't do the best of their ability.

It is not a dumb question , the only dumb thing is the controversy between the two organisations
If you compete for the IFC you are not allowed to compete at ICU events. It has to do with the two different organisations both holding European and World Championships and not getting along. I remember a few years ago a german team wanted to compete at the IFW World Championship but ended up not doing it because on the day of the comp they were told if they competed they won't be allowed to compete at USASF the same year ( or ICU i don't remember exactly) .
I think it's stupid and weird and i would rather have only one true Worlds competition.

Right, it is completely silly. However, I havent (and im not saying it never did happen) heard anything that IFC has "threatened" anyone. Ive only ever gotten wind of it coming from ICU....not to say the hate isnt mutual.

It wasn't a good performance but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen. Just a bad day.

Like I said earlier, we never have a great performance at this venue...ever! It's nothing new. I knew the video would turn up, but so what? It's no different from any other year we've performed at that venue.

Just more incentive to work harder on the way to the globe.

O yes I remember her from last year, she was supposed to be on some new AZ team right? Im so happy she got to come back to Cali since you said it was her dream. Shes pretty bomb you know..

Yeah she was going to do AZ United, but once a Cali Kid always a Cali Kid. It only took her 3 months to miss her team and Jeff so much she couldn't handle it, so back she went. And thank you I kinda think she's pretty awesome

seriously some of these kids (and adults) are beyond rude. Have some common courtesy and SIT DOWN when another team is performing. You can wait 2:30 for your flipping dippin dots. I am only half kidding when I say I am going to look for that not JAS team in blue and green and when they perform go stand in front of whoever is recording them

I was getting fired up, until I realized my reading comprehension is terrible. Not JAS...must do better next time lol
