Does the mesh even satisfy to full top rule ? Don't quote me on this but I thought the new rule was about "exposed midriffs", so the mesh doesn't help with that at all. I know tons of people probably said that already but, I'm still wondering.

It is marketed by at least one uniform company that you can use a mesh-stomach to satisfy the full top rule.

I'm so confused. What is the obsession with showing stomachs? I get it - people like crop tops. My cp's liked them too, and I don't mind them. But most people's arguments in favor of them have been "it's easier to tumble and stunt in" and "it's too hot without crops!" Ok.

So, there's a rule. Finding ugly ways to get around the rule does not do anything except make you a) have an ugly uniform, and b) look petty and childish. People keep saying we're going to see all this mesh as a way around the rule and I just do. not. get. it. You're so mad about a silly rule that you will put 200 kids in $350 of ugly just to prove that you can and will find a way to show stomachs?

Is there some other point to mesh stomachs that I'm missing?

(SN: @Sherry I'm not talking about yours. I actually really like that one and it doesn't look like mesh really. I mean the see-through ones that you can clearly see stomachs, just covered by mesh)

I would not have even taken offense eve if you did not like my CPs uniform. She quit this gym a couple weeks after I purchased this uniform, so it just hangs in the closet never to be worn. Her new gym has mystique on it and says "GATORS" really big on the front. I mean....how can I completely criticize a uniform when her new uniform has those two elements on it? LOL

From the rumor mill, at her old gym, I heard that her old gym the older girls wanted crop tops. For that gym, that is an image that they did not want for themselves. So this uniform was a compromise.

So, getting back on track of new uniforms.. Saw these on Instagram
These match the crop tops from Worlds, right? They look really comfortable to wear! Love the mesh on the top of the like collarbone area and the rhinestones there and the blinged out Oregon.

They look that way to me! I loved their crops at Worlds and I love these! I wish I joined cheer earlier because I lived in Oregon for nearly 8 years..

Here's my question...not having a uniform with any mesh on it, how well does it hold up? I can't imagine it would hold up well over the course of 3 seasons (the typical amount of time a uniform is kept).
We got our new uniforms last year, and I received mine with a hole on the underside of the arm mesh. I will say it never got any bigger, and didn't stretch out, but it was there...and it shouldn't of been for the nearly $350 we paid for that uniform.
We have the rhinestone stickers/discs on the mesh, and my top last year had lost all of them by the third competition. I got a new top this year because of the hole and I've actually not seen any fallen off yet surprisingly...so mesh seems to be getting better as they find out what's going wrong I guess, lol.
But I think we were more upset it took a whole season to get a replacement top (which was also too short), than anything else.

I really like these! Rubi Designs (Rubi_designs on Instagram) made them
I really like these. They're so pretty. Probably one of my favorite uniforms I've seen so far. I don't know why but I love them!
And I also like Oregon's but holy short shorts! If they could just add at least another inch or so, they'd be perfect.
