I know i am in a HUGE minority here, especially based on 1,100 teams attending, but.....
i have never been a cheersport fan.
is there such a thing as being too big???

They only have like 50 more teams than NCA does this year, they are always pretty close. I've never really heard about any issues with either. I think Cheersport has a lot more fans now since they use the Varsity scoresheet.

No competition has yet to "OUT DO" NCA. They may have more #'s, Worlds may have Rings and level 5 specific teams, but ask anyone that has been to NCA and they will tell you, the main floor at NCA is unlike anything else in cheerleading!

totally forgot about NCA being so big. have to agree with you.
Been to both cheersport and nca & there is NOTHING like the feel at NCA!!

I agree, but I wish people would stop acting like Cheersport and other competitions don't matter.

sorry if i came across like that. ALL competitions matter. & all bid competitions matter to level 5 teams.
my original post was just saying that i personally am not a cheersport fan. and i know i am obviously in the minority with that feeling. the whole setup is just so overwhelming to me.

Ah, I didn't think you came across that way! I was making more of a general statement. I've just seen some tweets and such about Cheersport and other comps being irrelevant and it bothers me

Your favorite team wins Cheersport: YES! Cheersport is the best!
Your favorite team loses Cheersport: Well its not like Cheersport even matters. NCA is like totally way more better! Thats where it really counts.
Favorite team loses NCA: Well its not like NCA even matters. Worlds is like the only competition that even counts.
And the cycle continues...

It starts to seem that way when they do things like they did in the small senior division. How do you hit a routine, two days in a row, and score significantly lower the second day? You add tumbling day two and make your pyramid harder? and hit clean? People respect and love NCA because things like this very seldom happen, if ever.

Nothing is perfect but, when you win NCA, more often than not, you WON NCA!
