I hope these teams either do a TON of fundraising or the movie proceeds are paying their travel costs because holy expensive... flying to atlanta, hotel stay, and all these elaborate blinged-out prom dresses in addition to the already expensive regular season costs? Yikes. Prom dresses are so expensive, I hope these girls are at least planning to re wear them or something.

Did they add another showing on 17th everywhere? Cause I was just getting my tickets online and it had tickets for both dates for sale.

we bought tickets for tuesday, april 15th which was a better time than the 10:30 show on the 10th - so some theatres seem to be offering later dates.

I think the Champions League is loosing a good amount of money not planning to offer a online subscription to watch the movie after the theater events. I would pay for it. And i think i'm not the only european cheerleader who would.

One of the big reasons we didn't want our girls going this year. I also think that is why some of the teams pulled out and were substituted with "wild card" teams. A really expensive event at the end of an already expensive season. Also, with it being so close to Worlds you are already dealing with fatigued athletes/injuries. Another big weekend just adds more fatigue and another chance for injuries. Additionally, you lose another practice weekend to change up the routine prior to Worlds. I hope they have a great weekend, but would LOVE for them to do it a little farther out from Worlds AND include a good comp with bids, etc.

I would for sure pay for it, but I'm not about to drive over an hour to a theatre that will probably have 20 other people in it watching this movie. I'd rather see a live stream of the event, or even just allow the routine videos to be posted, than to go to a movie theatre and watch some over dramatic production of a cheerleading competition.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if video taken inside the event comes out in the next few days... I get there is supposably security to prevent it, but let's be honest if people can sneak weapons and crap onto airplanes still these days, do you really think security at a cheer comp is gonna be extra tight... Probably not.

Ok so why did Cheer Express wildcard team compete an entire routine then compete again because of "music issues"??

is the prom/interviews on the red carpet going to be featured in the movie? because while everyone is saying this movie is going to do so much good for the sport's reputation... it's going to look like one big ole pageant. i hope because they streamed it, that means it will be left out.

in theory, it's a nice idea... but if i had to pay for roundtrip flights to atlanta, hotel for an entire weekend and then on top of that was told my kid needed a formal gown.. LOL

So I was under the impression that they would take the highest all-girl wildcard and the highest coed wildcard but it looks like they took two coed teams

Some of the schools around here had their proms in March. There aren't a ton of venues so you have prom when you can get the venue you desire.
