Do you eat cheeseburgers, hamburgers, chili, beef tacos? All meat is mutilated to some extent. You should try pork bbq. It isn't as mutilated as ground beef. :D

I think her hang up is the appearance (hence the looks like) not the fact that its mutilated meat.

I have plenty of food I don't eat based on appearance and texture alone.

I go through phases where hash and rice terrifies me...the appearance...never mind the ingredients

thank you

We hope for that as well.

I have used this analogy before, but I think it applies here. From a business point of view, we see the area cheer gyms like stores in a large, successful mall. We hope to come in and be a new "anchor" store*. The Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, etc. stores of the world do NOT want the other businesses in the mall to fail. They don't even want the other big anchor stores to go out of business. It would be a disaster for them if them mall was full of empty stores.

* I don't mean a store that actually sells anchors. A mall probably isn't a wise location choice for them.

I have generally seen a mutual respect of the big gyms to each other and a respect for the smaller gyms around them. I totally agree with your analogy - if it increases the awareness of this sport then more power to CA and their move. I hope that is what happens. I think there will be some that switch just for CA rep but I think there will also be CPs and families that choose to stay with their home gyms because there are kids who do great at large facilities and others that prefer smaller ones. I think the mid-Atlantic and Northern South (North Carolina, Virginia, MD area) is really a hot bed of growth in cheer and excited to live in that area. I think the growth is so fast in some spots that it is finding qualified and quality coaches to staff the gyms. I am sure CA's reputation will make this a nonissue for them but hoping the staff at local gyms don't jump ship for bigger more well know.

I started reading this thread with something to ask about CA Charlotte and now I forget because you all got me sooo hungry and craving a wawa sub. We go out of our way on road trips just to find a Wawa.

P.S., Everyone who wants to say that their home state's chain is superior, y'all must have never set foot in Wegman's.
Wegman's > everything else in the whole world ever.

were getting a Wegman's this fall where I live and I could not be more excited!

i don't understand the wegman's hype. i realize i am now going to school in the birthplace of wegman's and whatnot so it's a big deal i guess... but give me my trader joes or even whole foods. it's torture without them and wegman's dulls in comparison. my sister lives in boston and they opened a wegmans in her neighborhood last weekend and she said there were lines around the block waiting to go in. why? it's a lame grocery store. i don't get it. someone please enlighten me about what i am apparently missing when i go grocery shopping?

Just blowing up this thread as I go about food but whatever.. food is good
I've always wanted to try that one! I usually get oreo mint bc I wasn't sure if i would like orange push up but now I'm sold.
There's a cookout literally right next to my boyfriend's apartment complex so whenever I want a milkshake at obscene hours of the night y'all know I get it...
Also quite absurd that they're open until 4:30 AM on the weekends.
I like that a Jersey girl is using "y'all" while talking about Cook Out. :cookie:
