He was joking on the 24th, but got super serious about car shopping on the 25th, and here I am with a new car!!!
aww congrats @yooolizzi! You and your car are beautiful! Drive safely!!!
thank you!! This car has so many extra safety features that my old car didn't have that it's a major adjustment!
you guys look great together!!!
thank you so much!!

So I'm going to my friend's house tonight (we're the good kids, so it was just going to be Just Dance, little wienies, sparkling grape juice, and New Year's hats), and I just had to spend 13 minutes typing an explanation as to why posting pictures with champagne glasses and grape juice was a bad idea. I sort of get it, because he doesn't do much within the school system, but I'm in season right now, and my coach told us that her brother almost got kicked off of the basketball team because he was in the background of one of her pictures, and there was a beer sitting on the table. Her and her friends were all of age, but he wasn't. He wasn't drinking it or anything, but I guess it being there was enough. My other coach is uptight enough. I don't want to have to deal with that, too
ETA: let me just say that I volunteered to buy the glasses, and I'm still taking them. But, still, come on. We had a classmate in this situation at the beginning of last year. He knows what happens when there is alcohol/"alcohol" involved

@emma_tuttle it might be too late to plan for tonight, but for a friend's bachelorette party we made a designated "photo booth" area. We just got one of those black plastic tablecloths and taped it on the wall, added a congrats banner, and bought some silly props from Party City. That way there was nothing bad in the pics and we could put some pics online without worrying about negative consequences (even though we were all of age, we still have to worry about things like that affecting jobs). All the other pics from that weekend are strictly offline only :)

Thanks for the idea! We just took out the part that made the explanation necessary. Maybe if we do that, it will help things run more smoothly and make sure every picture is fine to post!

update on the dog: my mom developed really bad allergies after introducing it into our house. looks like the dormant allergies came out :( we have to return him and now the house feels so empty. and i feel awful doing that to such a sweet dog.

I'm 24 on NYE and I'm currently drinking tea, watching a documentary on Nas.
I'm 20 and I'm sitting at home with my parents...one of my best friends is 21 so she's out at the bars, and my other best friend is with her cousins I think. Yay New Years Eve!

ETA: I have plans now. I'm not totally lame, I swear.

Well in my defense, I couldn't name a single Nas song. My fiance is into old school rap.

At class night my senior year of high school our senior video started skipping while "I Can" by Nas was playing (awesome song btw) so all of us continued to rap it while our parents looked on in admiration.
