Thanks guys. I went to the assistant coach after practice to figure out what the heck happened. There are girls still on the team that don't tumble whatsoever and are essentially brand new to cheer. (Not to bash my teammates but yknow). So I'm an alternate now. If I don't make it on to the floor by our bid comp, it doesn't make sense financially to continue.

I have a huge favor to ask of y'all! Unfortunately, I can't post what it is here. If you're interested in helping me, PM me and I'll let you know how to help! I promise it only takes 30 seconds and it's absolutely free!

For those true crime lovers out there...has anyone heard of or listened to the Serial podcasts? One of my friends turned me on to them and I have been obsessed over the past 24 hours. I just finished the 4th one and actually can't wait to drive cp to practice tonight so I can listen some more. They are free on iTunes; I downloaded all 12 parts. Too bad no long road trip to a cheer comp for us this upcoming weekend!

@yooolizzi got here first but everyone please feel free to send me a PM as well! I'd really appreciate it [emoji4]

Glitter is evil. Glitter is the worst. I refuse to use it on any of my crafts at work and fortunately my branch manager feels the same way as has banned it from the library

If someone mailed me a box of glitter I would ruin them.
I saw this on Reddit right after I read your post and I had to share

Is this the one where the narrator (female) is kind of obsessed with one murder in particular? My brother has been listening to something like that.

**TMZ called looking for a new gossip columnist, any suggestions?**

Yes, that is the one. She is a reporter and spent a year going back over the murder which happened in 1999.

I bought a luggage scale to check my suitcase before I get to the airport but I feel like it's off. According to it my suitcase only weights 35 pounds, yet its packed full of clothes and shoes. Has anyone had luck with luggage scales being wrong?

do you have anything you know the weight of that you can verify it with? like a 10 lb dumbbell in a tote bag or something. if so, that would help tremendously! my mom had a random one from bed bath and beyond that had like a hanger you put the bag on and I believe it was pretty close to what the airport's scale said. without the fancy hanger scale, I usually just rolled my suitcase onto the human bathroom scale.

for your sake, I hope it's right!!

There's a whole thread for it in the 18+ section!

They have to do that dang ballet bun that I've never done a day in my life [emoji52] and fake eyelashes...these kids are nine. I'm 21 and can't even put fake eyelashes on myself let alone on a small person (that hates having them put on). I think I was actually sweating while getting them ready because I was so nervous haha.

But apparently the bun and eye makeup looked great because they asked me to do it again tomorrow [emoji23]

For competition they do a headband Dutch braid. They were doing a low ponytail with it, but they're going to switch to a low side bun with the headband braid. They have a Bollywood routine that they have high ponies for, so we have to switch the bun to a high pony somewhere in the day. Luckily that's a production piece, so it's usually last. Once they're in ponies they're done. Whew!

We won the competition hairstyle battle! No. More. Braid!!! They're going with what we call the "Gio slick" instead (worn by our professional company - the adults). Side part, low, super flat, tight to the head bun. Like real dancers. I am quite pleased, because that's a hairstyle I do about 3 times a week already.
