All-Star Boys Shouldn't Fly???

Have y'all forgotten that part of the issue we've discussed over and over :deadhorse: is that all star score sheets aren't 100% objective anyway? In a perfect world, judges preference wouldn't play any part in any score, but it does.

I remember a few years back South Elite Titans had a boy do a kick double (hes amazing. pretty sure hes on CA Wildcats now) an honestly it was more impressive than a girl doing it! I like when theres a boy flyer, makes it seem even harder for some reason!!

solely from an aesthetic point of view, I'd prefer males on the ground. If your boy is center flyer, I'm only watching him. If he's in the back left corner, I'm only watching him (instead of your chosen center flyer who is probably in the center for a reason.) If all five/seven/nine flyers were male it wouldn't bother me. i'm not against males flying, one just sticks out too much for me to focus on other things and most teams only have one (if any.)

It should not matter if the flyer is a girl or boy only who performs the skills the best... I think the sport can move forward a lot quicker, if we get the boys and girls use to all the cheerleading positions by starting really young, like on Tiny and Mini teams... Maybe, if it is started at younger ages the judges will be accustomed to seeing it...

Yes. I think, no matter your opinion, you should replace the word "boy" with any other describing word and listen to how it sounds...(black, fat, ginger haired, etc). This topic makes me much more uncomfortable than seeing a male flyer.

Eta: OR replace "cheerleading" as the sport. "Seeing a girl play baseball is distracting."

What about fetus? Had the judge mentioned the unspoken rule of not using fetus flyers, I think the majority of the board would be cheering.

What's next? Girls won't be allowed to base coed stunts?

If she's nowhere near as strong as Biff in back and she's basing the center coed stunt because she hit a few times in the gym and she's a girl and oooooh, won't the audience be impressed because she's a girl, then no. I'm equal-opportunity critical.

Maybe! Either way, it's always about something physical...that shouldn't really matter.

I have a solution to this problem of boy flyers and distracting the judges- slap a wig and bow on him and when he finished flying and scored fairly; only then reveal his gender.(similar to the premise of the show The Voice).. I bet the judges will be surprised but less distracted and more boys may fly...

One slight problem there, spanks don't cover enough on girls as it is let alone if boys wore a girls uniform lets just say horrified parents and leave it at that

I have an idea get a boy to try the girls uniform on, if it shows too much a male it will be to short then we can have longer skirt or shorts and people would be happy

There could be a real market for this. I can see the GK/Rebel ads now, "New comfort fits for both girls AND boys bits!"
