These Moms, there is so much wrong with them i don't even know where to start
Like why are they desperately trying to make Kalanis mom get into a fight with Abby. Thankfully she was smart enough not to listen to them. Like what the hell, Abby said Kalani is too old so why in the world would her mom walk up to Abby and start an argument whenever there were obvious reasons as to why Kalani was pulled from the group . stupid.
And then Jill yelling at Kira after the competition because Kalani got up with the group for awards. Like what is her problem , she should just accept that her daughter will never be as good as Kalani, she needs to get over herself and find a hobby

I can understand why Holly would be upset with Abby about Kalani being allowed to stand up and accept the award with the group. But I don't get why Jill was upset with Kira about that. It seemed like she was just trying to pick a fight.

right , Holly at least has a reason but Jill just likes to cause arguments, she is exhausting to watch

Neither of them had a reason to be upset about how Kalani went up for the group award - people are so petty and vindictive if they would care about something like that at the age those girls and moms are and how long they have been competing - it's a team award, so what if she went up when she wasn't in the dance, who cares!?

I probably would have had to give them all some snark if I was Kalani's mom when Jill was complaining about her going up - like I would have said "I guess I'll have Kalani apologize for offending you by standing up w/ the team to get a $5 trophy for a dance she wasn't in - especially since we know the dance would never have won if she was in it cause she's such an awful dancer!"

They need to really get a life if something like that would bother them.

But when Nia wasn't in the group, she didn't get to go up with them. So it makes sense to be upset about the unfair treatment.
Plus she didn't earn the trophy so that just seems obvious to me.... I don't go up with senior 2 to get their award because I'm not on the team, it's not my trophy it's theirs. It just seems like common sense to sit back. Is it worth fighting about? No (if it's not unfair treatment), but it is strange for it to happen.

The fight was dumb. The pushing Kira to argue with Abby was dumb

And most importantly fake.

All of those heifers knew why Kalani wasn't in the group dance and they knew that it wasn't for a "stupid" reason

On what planet would Abby choose struggle Nia over Kalanhi if age were not a factor

On the flipside. If they'd put Kalanhi in the dance they would have been fighting because Kalani put them in the teen category and made them lose.

Those Basic Bettys are so transparent.

Yeah, but if you didn't compete w/ your team becuase you were injured, sick or not hitting your stunt or tumbling, but were sitting there for awards in your uniform where it was only you and your team up for an award, how big of a deal would it be for you to walk up and stand w/ the banner? Your choice is go up w/ your friends or sit there all alone on the mat. A parent in the audience complaining about a kid doing that out loud like its a big deal is just a busybody/complainer if you ask me. Nia also was pulled from that dance cause she missed a practice that week to go record her "album" - so she was hardly a victim in that situation (and even then I don't think it would have been a big deal if she went up).

Honestly, I think in real life they danced two versions of that dance - one with Kalani and one without (thus why she was in the full costume). The confusion was probably cause Kalani didn't know what the producers wanted her to do or which version won.

Kalani is seen asking to go up; I don't recall Nia asking to go up.

Nia's not too bad in the group dances. Why does Abby give her those "technique lacking" solos? She's always dressed in some tropical wear, skips around, shakes her rear and ends with the death drop? She looks 5!

When I watched her in the group I thought, "Why couldn't you have done something like this for your solo?" Something that requires a pointed toe...

it's also funny how they used the scene where kalani asks nia about her song instead of the one where nia is like hey i recorded something and everyone looks akward
call me crazy but i don't like the way nia carries herself these days, i always found her to be a nice modest child but i think her moms strive for fame is slowly starting to get into her head

Bad choreography and costuming aside, Nia's dance technique in that solo was like a beginner dancer who has never had a ballet class in her life - she has no extension all, her toe point is weak and her upper body is all out of place - it really does not reflect well on Abby's training that she has danced for her since she was 3. Even though she can pull off a few tricks and skills, and keep up in a group dance, her basic dancing is not solo-quality for any style that requires ballet technique as its foundation. If Holly's intentions are for Nia to learn how to dance, she really should have tried another studio years ago, cause she's not learning anything at Abby's besides for how to dance behind good dancers. She tells her to keep working, but I don't think that's the issue - after 10 years of no progress, it's time to try something else.

Like 3 years ago now, I tweeted Dr. Holly and told her that she needed to take Nia out of dance and put her in All Star cheer. By now she would probably be a solid base on FCA Diamonds or on a team at Pittsburgh Superstars....

But that heifer replied back that Nia does cheer, she does popwarner cheer for her brothers fball team

So I gave up, and I'm sure that all hope is lost now
