Another Cheer Angel
Story courtesy of WTSP. com and heads up by Laney Madsen:
Pinellas deputies say a group of teenagers were on a boat that was pulling an O’Brien Super Screamer inflatable tube with two more teens riding it. Witnesses say as the boat turned, the raft spun out and crashed into the dock.

PINELLAS PARK, Florida — The Rock Solid Allstars cheerleading team from Pinellas Park are a celebrated group of teenagers. Deviny Boese was a part of this team. She lived for competition, and she was good.
She was so good she helped the team win the national championship this year. But, this day there are more tears than cheers after Deviny’s death in a boating accident in the Intracoastal Waterway.

A circle of friends gather on the gym floor. A grief counselor speaks softly, explaining life can be cruel. These kids are as close as family, and Deviny’s two best friends struggle to speak about a brilliant life full of zest.
“If she had to say ‘If I could do one last thing before I die,’ she’d say ‘I don’t need to do anything,’” said friend Heather Hinkin.
For Kiersten Floyd, the tragic event hits especially hard. She was supposed to join her friends on the water, but changed her mind at the last minute. “I feel like I was lucky, that I made a good decision not to go, or I don’t know what would have happened. But I probably wouldn’t be in the best condition right now.”
Deviny’s locker is now decorated with flowers. Her cheerleading pictures are still on display in the lobby, and her reputation as a tough competitor is still intact. The memories of winning the national championship will live forever.
“Everyone was trying to stay calm, and I went over to Deviny,” said Hinkin.
“What did you say to her?” I asked.
“We won,” she said.
“I would just tell her how amazing she is and that she is my best friend one last time, and no one will ever replace her,” added Floyd.

Prayers going out to her familiy, friends & teammates. Lifting her mother up as she battles and unspeakable loss.
