Orange's music leaves me.... confused.... due to too many voiceovers IMO and not enough songs. And I feel like a great mix has to have a balance of both. Afterall, we do call this cheerleading music, right? Just wish there was more music!

Originally I thought the Siri thing was cool. And actually, let me rephrase - I still think Siri is cool. My husband is a music editor and I remember when he heard Wildcats, he was extremely excited to share it with me, purely due to Siri. A very good find! But I think Siri is too unique to just be added to a "crew" (if you will) of voiceover people. I would have liked if Siri was just used for one team, and at most for the program.

Just my opinion.

I think what you consider a voiceover, some would consider music :) What do you define in the mix as "not music" I am trying to see your point, but its tough. The vocals are done with recording artists and set to music and mixed and mastered just like a song, so it has to be an actual song on iTunes or something or its not music?

In addition, there are ALOT of mixes that have ZERO instruments. They are all washed out and replaced with SDFX, Swooshes and DRUMS and that's it. That is way less musical that my mixes where there is real balance and you can hear and understand the entire thing. Think about it.

1. I stated IMO and thought I was just doing so.

2. Sorry if I offended you.

3. I am in no way, shape, or form trying to get into a musical debate about what is music and what is not music, but for the sake of proving what I was trying to say – I will rephrase in different terms. So let's forget my previous statement, and I'll say this: I am not a fan because of the extreme amount of "custom work" compared to composition. So what I'm saying is that whether or not 'a voiceover is music or not' in anyone's eyes, I don't find the balance in Orange's music due to the high volume of custom work (including voiceovers and song recreations) measured up to the amount of songs that were cut and pasted into the track. Call me old school - whatever!

4. As for your second post quoting me - I didn't point out anything you were specifically talking about in that post - so I find it quite irrelevant for me to respond.

Oops hit send before I finished!! So jealous all yall have music. We don't have ours yet. Hope it's as great as all of y'all's!!
