I think so too! I wasn't saying people should idolize her for that reason. Next time you quote my post, Add the whole post. I think people choose who to look up to. If you don't agree with the being famous for their tans and hair and abs (even though they're actually famous for their talent) then don't follow them. You see it one way and a large amount of people see it a different way. I don't know how else to explain it. We like the glamour and the talent and you're very fixated on talent. I'm not understanding why Peyton or any other famous athlete can't coexist with Kelsey or Maddie...

probably because if you say Kelsey people think "one to double, one to whip double, running double double", when you say Maddie people think "ball up 360, innovative flyer", but when you say Peyton, despite her talent that is needed to make her high caliber teams, people think "abs, pretty, poof"

I wasn't going to post anything on this topic (not videos mine you) but I couldn't bite my tongue. athletes become popular by a mix bag of reason only one of which being talent, like how some singers get famous over others. I don't think its anything different here.

BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm sorry, this is the most deluded thing I've read in a while. I tell my friends they're amazing because they are amazing, hence why they're my friends. Their skills mean nothing to me, nor their abs....that's such a superficial comment to make when you don't even know me. A social climber? Well, that's cute. I don't care what my popularity status is. I know who I know and I'm sorry if that's more than you. You can sit there and make judgements all you want, but you've contradicted yourself multiple times now, and you're now nothing but irrelevance at this point.

So like I said earlier, settle down Suzie and drink the hot cup of coco I am serving you. The athletes we are referring to I have never even had interaction with. So you can dream on girl. It'll get your far here.

Because some of these athletes are NOT recognized for their talent and ARE recognized for things like their abs and hair. I noticed athletes like Kelsey and Amanda G because of their incredible tumbling and skills during their routines. Not because they posted pictures on Instagram and twitter of their bodies. I've noticed other athletes via social media from pictures of their abs and their hair and not because of their actual talent. YES those athletes are talented, but I do not honestly believe that some of them are "famous" because people noticed their talent during routines and not because they promoted themselves on social media and I would honestly have no clue who some of these athletes were if it weren't for them posting pictures of their abs. Just my opinion.

First of all, I'm gonna quote whatever part of whoever's post I want.
Secondly, I wasn't saying that. They very well can coexist with Kelsey and Maddie, and I definitely think they do!! By all means are those athletes are extremely talented. I was just giving the reason why I (and others that I know) like Kelsey.

Everybody just stop with the "rude" thing. Some of you were mature enough to call me ignorant so at least be mature enough to see it from both sides. Hair and abs aside, they're popular, well-known athletes! They're on big name teams and gyms. They got there through talent. PLEASE tag any gym owner you'd like if you don't agree with that statement. Hair and abs is simply a plus. don't like it? Start an new trend.
