@CEAisstronger I will concede based on your comments no harm was meant, and I will swallow the pills my fellow Fb's have shared with me. As a business person, however, I choke them down knowing we don't look at things from the same perspective.

As a fan of CEA and looking at their teams in Wiki, I noticed they have three large 4.2 teams and one small 4.2 team. So thinking in the business perspective, as I tend to do: $150 (avg monthly tuition) x a possible 116 athletes x 12 months in a year= $208,800 (approx.) these 4.2 cheerleaders bring to the table at CEA this year. Fast forward, as I am reading through the threads I notice the jokes of "craptastic allstars 4.2", "point flyer on 4.2", "craptastic allstars world champion 4.2", etc. and then I realize these 5-6 "jokes" I've read in the span of 10 minutes all came from the same CEA fan/athlete. If these comments had come from any other gym fan/athlete, I probably wouldn't have given it another thought, but CEA represents almost 20% of the total 4.2 population and a large sum of money coming into their gym. Do I over think things? Yes, I am a geek. Do I still think you should reconsider joking about 4.2? Yes, if you are an athlete at CEA, but only because I over think the consequences, too.

The business cap is off, the pills have been swallowed, the catlady is "chilled".

with all due respect, did you throw the pills back up after you swallowed them?:D Seriously, you have taken the "4.2 joke" WAY too hard. I think you have been on these boards long enough to know that several posters like to add humor to their posts, and you often can't take things too literally here. There are some threads that have become infamous over the years and the 4.2 going to Worlds thread is one of them. No one is really knocking 4.2 teams, and I don't feel @CEAisstronger has ever been intentionally malicious in any of her posts. Furthermore, she is not in charge of CEA's financials or business practices, and I hardly think anyone that is on a 4.2 team at any gym has decided to quit because they are offended by what FB members are posting. I am sorry you were offended by any of the posts, but I think it has been made clear multiple times that it was all in good fun, which is what we are all here for!!

@quitthedrama I agree, I admitted to @CEAisstronger that I over thought her comment, @HeresAThought was correct in saying, "I was reading too much into it." As far as, "throwing back up the pills" it was to share my intent, which after reading my comment came across harsh.

As far as 4.2, 5.1, 7.3 jokes as a whole, I know myself well enough to know I would have been contributing to the thread with gif's and meme's back in the day (before my time), and those that know me on Fb know that I would have. However, here's where I become a hypocrite. Once 4.2 became a reality, I would feel an obligation, as an adult, to stop the joking because kids are now assigned to that level. Many parents know my 16 yr old is on a 4.2, and before you say "AHA!", you should also know she's been through chemo twice and would be laughing right now, along with you, telling me to "get a life, noone's dying." With that said, when it comes to kids being laughed at for what they love to do or who they are, I'm not convinced all kids are as bullet proof as she is. Where is that line? I, personally, don't know. I think some kids are great at recognizing a joke while others others feel they are being made fun of. @SparkleSpankies Craptastic allstars and dorito chips? I don't find them offensive, because they don't relate to a certain group or person unless they are linked to it. I know you all aren't malicious, I know you aren't laughing at any kids and the jokes are meant in good fun. I'm just not convinced all the 10-18 year olds out there on 4.2 will get the joke and I, personally, don't think it is worth the chance for a chuckle. We will all have to agree to disagree on this topic, but I respect your opinion and thoughts on chilling

with all the respect in the world intended, i really dont understand where the cancer came in and became relevant to this conversation. im not 100% sure if i believe that if your child was not on senior 4.2 you would still have been as defensive. again, i mean no disrespect at ALL. its terrible that such a young person has to go through that and im so glad shes okay, im just not really sure why you felt the need to add that. if this comes off as disrespectful i am genuinely sorry!

I think the reason that she mentioned the chemo twice is to show her daughter is resilient and that the 4.2 jokes/comments wouldn't bother her because she's been through so much and realizes that the jokes aren't life or death. We all can get a little defensive where our kids are concerned.....it's just the "Mama Bear" in us!

Nobody is saying anything about 4.2 as a level. You should know that we wouldn't do that on here, we're always talking about awesome level 1 and 2 teams so why would 4.2 be made fun of.... It's the 4.2 going to worlds joke. She referenced "world champions, craptastic all stars 4.2"
1. A team from craptastic all stars wouldn't win worlds.... Because they're CRAPTASTIC
2. A 4.2 team wouldn't be at worlds because 4.2 doesn't go to worlds (referencing the "why can't my 4.2 team go to worlds" thread
NOBODY said that 4.2 teams were bad, or a joke.... We joke about them in reference to the original thread about it.... We don't just joke about 4.2 teams just because they're 4.2 and we don't respect them (because we respect all levels). We joke about craptastic all stars at any level. But when we talk about worlds it's often "my 4.2 is gonna win worlds" because a poster came and asked why 4.2 can't go to worlds.
If your daughter wasn't on level 4.2 I don't think you'd be so offended.... I mean you don't have a problem with the quote under people's username being "last pass on level 1" which is more derogatory and rude to level one than her joke was to 4.2 teams. Because it wasn't derogatory or rude to 4.2. Maybe craptastic all stars should be offended but otherwise...
