I wouldn't consider high school cheerleading a sport unless the team in question actually competes. There are some pretty laid back high school teams that definitely do not work as hard, but then again there are probably some all star gyms that are also very laid back. I do high school cheer as...
I've tried doing one to lays but i cant get enough power with only one back handspring and i end up piking or whipping it over even more but thanks for the help!!
i always resort to just throwing/whipping myself over instead of actually doing a proper layout. and everytime i actually have a good set, i dont have enough power and end up busting it. my running layout is pretty decent, but my 2 to layout is hideous :( tips?
Idk if this has really become a "trend," but I've seen increasing amounts of kids act like they go to certain big gyms, just to gain followers on social media platforms. I think it's pathetic, and these people usually make the gym look bad... Some will even go to the extent of kissing up to...
i like that they separate levels and have exclusive competitions. if there were exclusive competitions for every level that would defeat the purpose. that's almost like saying it's not fair that only the best athletes get to go to the olympics
I live in dallas so most people know what it is, but don't necessarily think of it as a sport. and almost every time theres a conversation about allstar you're asked if you go to ca or sot and if you know any of those "famous cheerleaders on instagram" lol

I was in my schools guard last year. Most of the guard girls didn't mind the cheerleaders, and kinda just left each other alone, but there were always a select few guard girls who would make snarky, rude comments about the cheerleaders at every football game we went to. They would go on about...
1. I can't stand the girls on my high school team who are stuck up
2. being a gymnast or former gymnast does not make you good at cheerleading. stop being so uptight and listen to the coaches who actually know what they're talking about
3. going off of number 2, having more tumbling than someone...
last season a "senior 3 coed" team got 1st place and grand champs... then at awards one of the people on that team decided to show off and throw a double full and double back, and a bunch of others threw fulls, standing fulls, etc. ugh
haha sometimes i'd like to think so, but it is annoying when cheerleaders think they can slack off in school and be lazy because they think cheer will replace it
