I was going to have surgery on my meniscus but i opted out. My orthopedic doctor that I see regularly told me I would have to wear one of those big steel braces you see football players wearing if I got the surgery.

When I did High School Cheer I broke my wrist, tor my bursa, sprained my ankle, and consistantly sprained my lower back. I have had my collar bone broke and many petty injuries.

Back flexibility doesn't hapen over night, give it time. Try bridges and then from there push your legs out straight. Also go on youtube, look up Gabi Butlers stretching videos. They are amazing.

I can relate to your post only for the fact that I konw a coach who does this. I am a coach myself and to see her push the LITTLE girls to more than they are ready for. It is frustrating when coaches want to be the best but forget to do the basics.

In my area there are no governing boards over recreational cheer. We do not have many rec teams, we have 3 to be exact and one of them is not a Rec team though they claim to be. If anyone knows of any in the Arizona area please let me know. Or any information on how to form one. We are all out...

That is a very good Idead. Since I developed the program I have had no guidance inhow to run a rec program. Other than how I see my friend who coaches a high school team I have no sense of direction of how or where to go with this.

I have a wide variety of age due to my rec regulations through the town are crazy. So far we are three weeks into practice and all my stunt groups have halfs and most have fulls. This is impressive because my youngest girl is 4 and dshe is right up in those stunts with my 14 year olds.

In UCA Rules it states HIgh School freshmans are aloud on the team as long as a mjaority are not in high school.

Help!! I need creative fundraisers for my team to raise money to compete in vegas. It is a recreation squad and the town will not pay for us to go. :( The only issue is because we are non-profit we have to raise money through "donations"
