Hello, I have tryouts for high school cheer coming up, and I'm going to have to tumble on the hard floor. I have a standing back handspring on the spring floor, will it be a lot harder to do it on hard floor? Any tips or advice on tumbling on a hard floor?
We need to come up with something that allows you to roll out a spring floor that can sit under a normal hard mat floor and make it springy.
How do we make this happen?
I'm curious how other gyms keep their mats from shifting on the spring floors. I have seen some people use Velcro strips to the wood.
Personally, I'm a fan of a trick I learned from the floors at woodward, cutting 4, 5-6 foot strips of a Velcro and wrapping it in an almost "figure-8" fashion...
So I have my round off back handspring tuck solid on the rod floor. I know it's basically the same thing as the spring floor (except world cups floors are so dead haha :p). The thing is, I can't bring myself to throw it on the floor. I did have a mental block for a while so maybe I'm just not...

So Rays bought some more spring floor and now were connecting it all together. This will give us 6 floors and 3 two panel tumbling strips all outlined in 2 foot gray mat... into one giant spring floor. Does this put us as the worlds largest spring floor? (basically the entire gym from end to end...
