Speaking of Rays, I had a thought while in Atlanta: When this "Seniors only half-top" ban goes into effect, what will gyms like Rays do? I mention Rays because I happened to see them at Battle and it dawned on me that they all wear the same uniform..which is that iconic half-top! I cannot imagine them scraping that design, and suddenly having half the gym looking different from the other half. It wouldn't be them! Does anyone know what their plans are?
I've been wondering this too. I keep asking but it seems that nobody knows! Since they have to comply I bet they'll get something that works as both half and full top (like @cupieqt 's new ones).

I did that on purpose too. To see how I liked doing senior crops and the rest full. We have always looked the same so it was a big step to even do that.

But idk. My gut tells me they are going to overturn the "no crops except seniors" rule and just put out measurement requirements instead. I could very well be wrong but I just get a feeling that some outspoken coaches may get that rule thrown out.

For the love of God, burn those capris and buy some black Nike pros. No.[/quote]

I actually don't completely hate the top of this uniform. A nice, sedate skirt might make this a decent looking uniform. The pants are a bit much though. I hope it's some sort of avant-garde dance thing, for real...please...for the love of God...in Jesus' name!

Let's not fight each other over bras. We did that. Varsity et. al, won't change the path they're on, as far as design. Many uniform companies don't offer decent bras to wear under the uniforms they design. I got stones pelted at me, a few pages back, for saying I searched high and low for my own solutions to the problem and paid my own money for decent coverage, because we love our gym and respect our coach's vision for her program, but refused to jiggle and bounce. My point is, as a health care professional, and a woman, I am well aware of what can happen if you do not wear the proper undergarments. However, we shouldn't fight. Those of you who still cheer, the next time you are due for a uniform upgrade, open your lips, and ask whether or not a special bra will be required or provided. That may not solve anything, but it may start a conversation.

Anywho, that's my two cents.

Great minds?

Better stop thinking out loud in case you are trying to keep some surprises, LOL!

For real!

I just got these and I love them so much but then everyone kept saying "there's no way you can top these!" And all I could think was "challenge accepted."

So I immediately went to work and those were my first two thoughts precisely--Sports bra incorporated into the design & practice wear functional. Durability will obviously need to be a major factor.

@Just-a-Mom I mean its not that difficult to find bras for the Cheer Savannah uniform...it also seems that the turtle neck makes it fit very well.

I found this by a google search within 3 minutes...
Padded Bra with Clear Straps; Body Wrappers

Im sure there are different strap variations for the back as well

I have one.. Zero support, the plastic doesn't hold tight. I won't even wear it with a dress for a night out. Couldn't imagine cheering in it and I don't even tumble.

The plastic straps are the worst. They are just NOT an option for anyone larger than a -A cup. I wish people would stop posting them as a solution anytime the bra brigade speaks up. We know they exist. They ONLY exist to make money. They're like the paper cones that come with water coolers. Don't try to have it hold more than a sip....

As a Victoria's Secret employee and certified "bra specialist" (ha ha... embarrassing, I know.) I can confirm heavy support during physical activity is necessary for the safety of your girls in the long run. Why do you think women wear regular bras in the first place? They're not just for show-- you need support against gravity just to walk around the grocery store, so when you're tumbling and stunting it's imperative you have the proper bra to keep you #1 safe #2 comfortable and #3 confident. The end.

Why do I feel like this whole thread has become a tennis match between Nellie Olsen and her illegitimate clone.

Focus people. Who's got a new (and not horrible) uniform to discuss?!

I don't think this on has been posted before... but it doesn't seem to fit your request either :D. They're the Panthers Allstars from France, the uni seems to be made to match their logo at all cost.

That phrase will be carved into my tombstone. It is my life mantra.

I don't know why I keep coming back to this thread. It's like heroin- does terrible, unspeakable things to your mind, body and soul, but when it's good, it's GOOD.

One of the nearly one thousand parents who has a fierce uniform designer that actually has knowledge of female anatomy, tissue damage from lack of support, understands that without parents this sport and its unis wouldnt exist, and will never, ever pay a dime for one of your designs.
Just stop the pissing match. It's tired.

There is no pissing match here, just responding to posts! :)

If you clicked the link I provided, its sold on a dance wear site..assuming dancers do turns, jumps, leaps and tumbling. .
Let me tell you ... i tried this very "bra" with my backless pom uniform. quite frankly the lack of support is painful to leap and jump in. I even tried cutting the back off a padded bra and stitching it in. I can tell you from personal experience this is a no go for anyone who has a normal sized chest never mind a large chest
