I saw some crazy, hard, insane, cool baskets that Blinn Junior College was doing on facebook. They are nothing like all star cheer baskets. My question is when, where, how do flyers learn these elite baskets?

I saw some crazy, hard, insane, cool baskets that Blinn Junior College was doing on facebook. They are nothing like all star cheer baskets. My question is when, where, how do flyers learn these elite baskets?

When: In college.
Where: Usually the gym.
How: Sometimes programs will use a suspended twisting belt, but most of the time it's just through drills and proper progressions. For example, a flyer wanting to learn a full twisting basket would start off learning and perfecting a tuck basket, then a layout basket, then a full basket. A lot of those flyers, especially at NCA schools like Blinn, already have elite level tumbling skills, so learning to do something similar in the air isn't quite as difficult.

In college from their coaches and teammates. And at camp too.
The same basics of all star basket technique carry over as does one's ability to control their body in the air.
