They are made out of 3 inch grosgrain ribbon. And all the shiny and sparkley fabrics are mystique spandex.

SO not a guru, but the above answer is pretty good. I've used lots of different types of spandex, but you can use any type of material.

Any fabric with lycra in it. Stay away for the cotton/rayon tpes of materials, they fray alot and will not give a nice looking finish, especially if this is not your thing. Good luck

it doesn't have to be mystique spandex. In fact, most of what my mom uses for our company isnt mystique. it can really be any type of workable fabric.

So I was wondering how you cut the fabric? Or can you buy it in the 3 inch width? I figured I'd ask since you and your mom are bow experts :p

I work with Infinite Bows, and we would be more than happy to precut the fabric for you and sell that to you.

Get a yard stick....a long ruler that is 36 inches in length. First cut your fabric to the length of each ribbon....people use different length, but the average is between 28-30 inches in length. After that take your ruler and make every 3 inches at the top and repeat at the bottom....so you have two dots, one at each end of the fabric. then place the ruler accross and draw a line connecting the dots, then use a cutter and role it along the side of the ruler so you get a nice straight cut and 3 inches each.....This is not how I do it, but for a beginner, I think this will work best for you.
I bond my ribbon to the fabric first, then cut along the edge of the ribbon. This requires a very steady hand because you can easily accidently cut the edge of the ribbon. Good Luck....Let me know if you need any more help.

I use ribbon that you can get at a store like hobby lobby or sometimes even walmart

I can either help you out by making the bows or getting you the cut fabric etc. I make bows for many teams. Let me know if I can help you in any way! Thanks!
