All-Star Cheerleader Living With Autism Competing For Miss America

How cool is this? 18 year old Alexis Wineman was a cheerleader and captain of the cheerleading squad at Cut Bank High School last year, and is competing for Miss America this Saturday! Alexis's platform is autism awareness since she herself is living with autism, and will be the first contestant with autism to compete for the title. I think it would be really cool if we all voted for her and helped her automatically make it into the top 15-what a great representative of the cheerleading community! She credits her participation in cheerleading as one of the keys to giving her the confidence to overcome the stigma of autism and to go on and compete for Miss Montana. Her life motto is "normal is just a dryer setting"
