Thanks for the info! This was helpful!
Keep in mind the numbers of teams in divisions could be very different this year from last. Last year Small S4 had 40 teams in the division day 1. So far this year, there are only 11 and a huge amount of WC which will come down to one team. It could make compete times very different. CP was L SC3 and competed in the middle of the day if I remember correctly.

I'm a Cast Member at Walt Disney World and can add a lot of clarity to all the new features of My Magic +

Magic Bands: These wristbands function as your park ticket, Fastpass return ticket, room key, and Photopass card, additionally you can sync your Debit/Credit card to it and use it to charge. They are incredibly durable and waterproof. Because you are traveling with a special event, I am not sure if you will get these or just a plain plastic ticket. They might give you a plastic ticket for the parks and a MagicBand for the room, in which case you can sync the two online.

My Disney Experience: You need to download this app and create an account on it before you go. You will then need to add any MagicBands or cards to the account so you can manage the plans for your party. You can sync cards to Bands here too. You can use this app to make dining reservations, but most importantly to pre-plan Fastpass selections. Some attractions will be gone by the time you get in the park, as regular resort guests can plan up to 30 days in advance. Take advantage and plan in advance! You get 3 starter Fastpass selections a day, once you use all of them up you can go to an in park kiosk and select new attractions, one by one. All your photo will also go to this account.

MemoryMaker: Buying this photo package gives you unlimited downloads of all the photos Photopass photographers take of you. It's expensive, like $200, but my mom said it was well worth it to not have to be constantly pulling out her camera. Plus Photopass photos are really great quality.

If anyone has ANY questions about anything at Walt Disney World, PLEASE ask me! If I don't know the answer, I can find it out for you

So now that they're using the wristbands, if you're not staying on Disney property, do you still get the old paper park hopper pass?
I don't know if anyone else answered this but, no, you get a plastic park ticket. WDW is run completely on RF technology, requiring plastic park tickets. Any old paper media must be transferred at Guest Relations

With UCA, Worlds and the Summit fast approaching, are there any updates that can be added to this thread? I will be attending the Summit in May and I am so excited!! Any/all advice or experiences is gladly appreciated! Thank you :)
The Disney app is supposed to be your central hub where everything is connected and set up now. I'm pretty tech savy, and overall I just found the app to be annoying for such a large group. If it were just a family vacation, then I think it would be great, but trying to get a group of 75 to download and understand the app was something I wasn't interested in. Once you're there, you can tie your park hopper card to your app by linking them. Most people can do all of this in advance, but since you're there for cheerleading and you don't get your stuff until you check-in, you can't. We found it easier to have one app with everyones cards from our small group that rode together loaded onto it, instead of everyone doing their own card individually. One phone with all of the cards for our group made the fast pass reservations together. If that one phone dies though, because we know how Disney sucks your battery, you're all out of luck! At the end of the day we did fast passes once, and decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

Not sure if UCA all-star, Summit and worlds will be the same, but HS nationals no longer used a park-hopper day to get into Indiana Jones.
NOOOOOO!!!!!!
It seriously looks like a scene from an end of the world movie! Part of it's down and the part still up is a frame. Sad looking!

Oh please Jesus, let this be true!!!

ETA: That first sentence about the park hopper should be highlighted as it is a quote....

How did they handle the entrance?

I didn't have a team in Indiana Jones, so I'm not sure the exact details, but they discussed it in the coaches meeting. Of course since it didn't apply to me, I also didn't pay too close of attention! What I did hear was that it didn't use a park hopper day this year, and that they would be escorting competition people through the park a back way. You wouldn't have free entrance into the park. Hopefully someone who was in Indiana Jones or paid better attention at their coaches meeting can fill in the rest!

I've heard working at Disney can be a nightmare. I've worked seasonally at universal for years and half the time I want to rip my hair out.

I'm also a cast member and I love it. I've been here on an international program for just under a year and it's been the best year of my life. Yeah the job can be tough sometimes but it's low stress and you get amazing perks :) I leave in two weeks and I don't know how I'll manage at home with a regular 9-5 (if I can find one!)

I'm also happy to help with any questions about my magic + and how it works :)

Summit and Worlds do not use HS. All teams compete at ESPN WWoS.
We haven't done UCA Nationals in a couple of years but the year we went, you used a park ticket off the hopper to get in. Again, we haven't done UCA in couple of years though. I find that trying to manage the number of athletes and guests through a back entrance would be really hard but who knows.

I wanna work at Disney!!!! I wanna live at Disney!!!! I can't get enough of Disney!!! I'm sad I'm not at Disney right now.... :(
