This will be our first trip to ESPN.
How do you save money on food/drink?
How do you save time from running all over looking for food/drink & waiting in long lines when there's limited time between performances? Are there food vendor areas that typically have shorter lines?
What types of things do you bring into the venue? Do they check bags for food/drink?
Anything you have learned over the years at this venue is greatly appreciated.

I've always just taken snacks and drinks in the backpack. I do the same thing in the park. It gets way too expensive when you have several in your family

In addition to the inside concessions, there are food trucks right outside the venues. I've always enjoyed hitting these. As far as saving money goes, good luck - it's Worlds/Disney and I just assume I'll be broke when I get home.

With the exception of frozen lemonades I'm not sure I've ever bought food at WWOS and I've been to worlds several times. I always bring food and drinks with me. I have heard the food trucks are great though and I don't recall the lines ever being that long.

Great discussion! My four kids and I will be attending Summit from early Friday to late Tuesday night. I'm panicked about food/drink but have learned a few things. I am packing dry snacks (cheez its, granola bars, chex mix, a couple bags of fruit) packaging them in small zip lock bags and everyone will get a snack pack for the day) There is grocery store or 2 that will deliver to the resort (we are not renting vehicle), i will get waters and drinks delivered. We are doing the parks so Disney allows food and drink to be bought into park, not sure about the ESPN area, but i'm assuming it won't be an issue. Disney will give you a cup of ice water if you ask, sometimes small, sometimes a regular size for free-it is Florida tap water though; would hope the same for ESPN but i'm not banking on that
Researched many food options in parks, not so much ESPN center.
This is our first time at Summit, 4th for Disney with cheer.
Good luck to you and your gym, and i look forward to reading more responses.

Just a suggestion for food.....we have found Cicis pizza to b the best deal. Good pizza and salad bar for under $10 with a drink. One very close to ESPN

If you have more than 2-3 hours, leave the resort area (if you have the transportation ability) and get some better priced food. Disney food is pretty quality, just overpriced. At WWOS, there will be food trucks all over the soccer field area as well as concessions in the major venues and concession stands from disney too.

If you are part of a package and receive a "free meal" from disney, really look at the details of it. Those usually provide a lot of food and a meal can be split between two kids (multiple sides, an entree, a drink, a dessert)

No doubt Wetzel's is worth the price of admission.

I may be the only one who is not a Wetzel fan. I think Auntie Anne's are much better.

Auntie Anne's is really good but to me Auntie Anne's is the Level 5 restricted of Pretzels and Wetzel's is Level 5.

I had one for the first time this year and wasn't super thrilled. I don't think we have Auntie Anne's here....

Can you PLEASE place your reasons for liking Auntie Anne's over Wetzel's and vice versa?!? Is it just because of their names? We need more transparency!! ;)

I think the overall execution of the Wetzel is better.
