I'm new here and it says i have 6 messages. How do i view them?

I'm thinking it may be something other than messages.

There are ads that come up sometimes that look like message notifications. They're just trying to get you to click the ad. Things in your inbox here will just have a little number by the the word inbox on the top right corner if you're on the website or will show up in notifications or convos at the bottom of the app.
