Our HS hired a new coach this year. The cheer team put together an exhibition routine which included 2- 2 1/2 high stunts. A parent told the coach this was illegal for HS. She said it was not and was ticked about being confronted. The team has continued to perform illegal stunts including "paper dolls" (braced extended libs) and "suicides" (unbraced front flips out of a pyramid). I see at least 1-2 per game. I called the AD last month and told him about these stunts. Nothing has changed.
Oh and they only practice twice weekly for one hour each practice. I think this is barely enough time to learn sidelines and floor cheers, let alone do these stunts. I am afraid someone is going to get hurt. I also fear creating problems for my daughter who is on this team. I need some advice. Thanks!
