last year they attended both nca and indy.

but this year they added a trip to vegas.. which i'm sure was slightly more expensive than indy (based on distance) but hey, i'd pick vegas too

Possibly the whole Worlds Bid ineligibility aspect to the competition. It might not be worth it to them.

Just because they didn't end up earning that bid didn't mean they didn't have a good chance at it.

If Indy was on the Stars competition list from the beginning of the year, I am sure they would of participated in the "Majors" instead of the competition for the bid. The SS competition schedule was set in the beginning of the season and instead of attending Indy or Myrtle (like last year) SS went back to UCA and tried a new competition venue in Vegas for this year. The "Majors" concept came in AFTER their competition schedule was set. They did concider adding the "Majors" but the added expense, missed school and other outside commitments did not make it feasable.

The primary goal for Vegas was to obtain the bid and yes it didn't pan out well for them. But that is not the ONLY goal when you go to comeptitions and I would say their other goals panned out well for them.

So by your logic, any team that has ever gone to a bid competition and not won a bid was not worth it.
I guess Senior Elite, Coed Elite, and SSX might as well have not gone to BUTBT.

i dont know, but i do wish Juniors could. i myself am on a junior team and would love to go to the majors!
