Is it Legal in level one to have one base holding one leg in elevator, and the second base holding the other foot in a lib position?? We have performed it in several competitions with no problem but at our last competition we received a warning saying "one leg stunts cannot be held at shoulder level" since we have both bases holding each foot, I assumed it was like holding a flier in a hitch, which is legal in level 1 obviously. Some insight from a safety judge would be appreciated. :)

I'm not a safety judge but this is a common L1 move. Unless there's been a recent change that I am unaware of, it is not illegal.
Andre can tell you for sure.

Depends on how it's done. I'd need a video or at least a picture to say anything more definitely.

    WONDERFUL! thanks!

Since I've already got you on this thread would you mind looking at this video for me? It's a downward inversion from prep level, I just want to clarify about the bases release and height of the release making sure it's legal in level 4.

It's hard to tell. Facebook video isn't on my preferred list.

The backspots hold on the whole time, the bases toss and release. I'm unsure about whether their toss is too high making the skill illegal??

Starting from the left I would say ILLEGAL - ILLEGAL - Didn't go - LEGAL - Can't See.

Thanks for your help! Our local judges aren't the most knowledgeable..... We haven't gotten any safety deductions for it, so I figured I should double check with someone who knows before we go to Nationals. Again THANK YOU!

Okay, @Andre bringing this thread back instead of posting a new one since it's a variation on the original level 1 question.

Going back to the original Level 1 question, we have a flyer at prep level (two bases and a backspot). One base holds a foot at prep, the other foot is held up in a hitch by the other base. Can that person, as center in a pyramid, act as a prep level bracer for two one-legged prep level stunts (one on each side)? Technically both feet are in the bases' hands, but I didn't know if that still counted as such.

Yes, the rule specifically states (Level 1 Pyramids, D.4):
    4. Prep level bracers must have both feet in bases’ hands.
Exception: Prep level bracers do not have to have both feet in the bases’ hands if they are in a shoulder sit, flat
back, straddle lift or shoulder stand.

So if the bracer has both feet in bases' hands (or the exceptions noted), you're good to go :)

So for level 1 pyramid , can my 2 man group a prep level (heel stretch) braced by shoulder sit, can that prep level stunt still cradle from that single leg?

    Thank you

No a cradle has to originate from two feet in level 2
