My step brother is staying at Disney World all week

He is playing in the world series!!!! He has always been a great ball player but I'm really jealous.

I'm there right now to watch my brother play in the world series too!

Question for all:
If there was an ad for a groupon-type deal, for a dance class based on Afro-Caribbean-Indian moves and culture, that had the tag line 'Shake What Your Aunt Jemima Gave You'..would you be offended? I saw this, saw some responses, and was curious.

I don't see it as offensive. In fact, I find it kinda funny. Although, going to school with the people I do you have to learn to accept criticism and brush offensive stuff off the shoulder. People these days it seems are a bit too soft.

Second- Is it that some people are way too easily offended, or that we as a culture have become insensitive, particularly to things about race/gender?

Bring a sweatshirt! It gets chilly and a sweatshirt will make it a little better.

eck, i know the feeling i have had way to many eegs/ecgs/ekgs/mris to even want to count, just make sure your comfy i advise sweaters and sweat pants, dont worry just relax and it'll be done before you know it

Thanks, I was told not to wear anything with metal on it (nothing with zips, etc) so I wore leggings and a thick cardigan, and then when I got to the hospital they made me change into a hospital gown anyway It wasn't actually that cold in the end though so I was fine in just the gown.

You'll be just fine, I'm positive. Prayers.

Thank you, my doctor doesn't think there is anything seriously wrong, it's just to make sure and rule stuff out.

Thanks, I had the scan this morning. I was really nervous and thought it was going to make me feel claustrophobic, but the nurse told me to keep my eyes closed so I wasn't really aware of what was happening apart from the beeping

Quite the mix of good news and bad news today.

Good news/silver lining: I was offered and accepted the position to coach JV Field Hockey at the school I work at and where I coached Lax this past spring. Going to be super busy come fall with i4, work, grad school, and now field hockey. Yay for multitasking!

Bad/terribly depressing news: My Nana was admitted to the hospital yesterday for a CHF flair up... and now she's on vents and we're having a family meeting tonight to 'discuss options'. Not a fan, not that anyone is, but still. Between coming in and out of consciousness yesterday she told me I was taking too long to get married and have kids (come on Nana, I'm only 24 give me time) and I thought of how I just posted here on that topic. Alas, off to the hospital I go. =(
