Nfinity Defiance For Flying?

I haven't been cheering for a long time now. And my firts cheer shoes were the nfinity vengeance. But I feel like they don't give that much support for flying. Honestly they're like socks and I don't like them very much for flying because I guess I need more support.
So I wanted to ask if the nfinity defiance are good flyer shoes? Or are they too bulky?

i like basing girls with defiances. they provide a wider surface for the base to hold. it almost makes basing feel easier. not sure how the flyers like them, though. sorry!

My CP's flyer has the defiance and she says that they are great to base.

My daughter has worn both (several of each) and prefers the Defiance as do her bases.
