Any one have any tips on making spandex bows?
I have just ordered my first order of spandex, and I plan on using heat and bond to glue it on to the ribbon. Anyone have any do's and don'ts? I have read that you can use a silhouette or a cricut to cut shapes and letters, but is there any other techniques i should consider? I plan on buying a silhouette or a cricut soon, but which one should I order? I have so many questions and any tips that you can think of can help. Thanks :)

I've never heard of spandex bows before. Do you mean like spandex the material spankies are made of?

Be very careful laying out and cutting spandex. It can stretch out of shape very easily. If you use heat and bod, use the ultra not the lit and don't slide the iron at all. Press and old, then pick up and move.never slide, even over a towel. The spandex will stretch.

I don't like the lite for spandex. Tends to pull loose over time. The ultra seems to hold better for me.

Buy the Silhouette, not the Cricut. You can design and cut ANYTHING (think team logos) on the Silhouette with no need for buying cartridges. PLUS, the Silhouette can make rhinestone templates for that little extra bling :) I also recommend the Ultra Hn'B over the lite. Have FUN!
