Earth Day is April 22, and is the perfect day to grab your teammates put on your practice clothes and head out into the community! Earth Day is “the day designated for fostering appreciation of the earth’s environment and awareness of the issues that threaten it.”

Here are a few things that your squad can to do promote the Earth Day message:
- Pick a neighborhood, park or roadway and pick up trash
- Promote a “Recycle Drive” at your school, have different bins with: Glass, Paper & Plastic
- Talk to your parents about getting energy efficient light blubs
- Do a river, lake or beach clean up
- Plant trees at your local park in the name of your cheerleading team
