random question has the summit ever combined two divisions for example small senior 4.2 and large since both those divisions has so few teams? or do they leave them as having four teams and they all advance to day 2

I agree that Wildcard bids are not passed down, but recently at a UCA competition that offered 3 WC bids they gave out 2 extra WC bids in the days and weeks following the competition. I'm not sure why the first extra was given, but the second was apparently due to a scoring or some other error.

There were errors with who received the youth and the senior WC bids at awards. It was remedied by giving the highest scoring teams their bids when the EP realized their mistake but instead of calling the gyms to give the bid back they just gave out extra's.

Need help to understand Summit competition:
  • Wildcard teams only compete one time on Friday, except if you place 1 and 2, then you move to Sat (#2) and Sun (#1), Correct?
  • At-Large teams compete on Saturday and if place in the top X %, they move to Sunday, Correct?
  • Paid teams, do they only compete on Sunday or do they also compete on Saturday? If they compete on Saturday do they have to fall in the top X % for Sunday or do they also get an automatic spot on Sunday?
  • If there are only 3 teams in a division, 2 WC and 1 paid, is the loser from Friday done competing, or do they get to compete again on Saturday?

Paid and at-large teams both compete for a spot in finals. The only team with an automatic "in" to finals is the team that won the wildcard round.

Ok so then, if there are 2 WC teams and 1 Paid
First Place team from Friday will go to Sunday
Second Place team from Friday will go to Saturday
Paid team will compete against the 2nd Place team on Saturday

So does that mean the Paid team can get knocked out of the round on Sunday if the Second Place team wins on Saturday?

No, any division with 5 or less teams competing automatically have all of those teams advance to Sunday(finals), though they paid team and second place wild card team would still compete on Saturday those results would be thrown out as the scores from previous day at the Summit don't carry over.

So if there are 3 WC teams and 1 paid team, they will all automatically make it to Sunday? Or just the top 2 WC teams and the paid team?

Just the top two WC teams and the paid team will compete in Finals.
Wait? Didn't someone above say that if there are fewer than 5 teams they all go to finals? I'm not sure where people are getting this info from to even look??

Is there normally a split for 4.2 at other competitions?
