Video Equipment?

Anyone have suggestions on video equipment that will adjust to lighting and the quick movements without blurring?
 
If you're using a DSLR, you would want a lens with a small aperture/deeper depth of field (a higher f stop). You wouldn't want to use f/2.8, for example, because it doesn't get all that much in focus at once.
 
For cheer get a GoPro. Works well and fits everything in.

So these work well for videoing at competitions? I've herd mixed opinions.

You get pretty good entire floor coverage from up front. I would say they do their job pretty well.
 
I think as an athlete the go pro is best, however as a parent I prefer my regular video camera. I have a Sony HD and it is about 5 years old and still takes great video with pretty much any lighting.
