To you?

I come from a gymnastics background, and just the idea of levels is a great thing. It promotes progression, safety and promotes healthy competition. In gymnastics there are level 10 athletes and those who are Elite level 10, some people plan to go to the Olympics and some simply looking to go to college on a scholarship, or simply at big nationals...I digress.

Going by my original question, what does being a worlds athlete mean to you?

To me it means that you are willing to work hard, train smart, and do what it takes to be A COMPETIVE ATHLETE and A CONTENDER FOR THE TITLE. My rant comes because I feel that many athletese simply want to go to worlds to see it and do the minimum to make a worlds team.

I am glad that the USASF has created a restricted division, I don't think that "anything is handed to you!" and just wonder what people think about "what it means to be a worlds athlete...and how do you deal with athletes based on physical ability and mental capacity to handle being a worlds contender.
