I saw this and all I can say is thank goodness!!! Esp. considering I just found out someone won summit on a level 1 team and competed on r5 at summit. A step in the right direction!!

Looks like they are only allowed to do level 4 or 5 if they competed at Worlds. That works for me.

Yeah, I can deal with the 12 year old basing on J5 or SR5 or whatever and flying on a World's team. I never raised an eyebrow at that. Level 5 is level 5, regardless of the age group.

^^^^Are you an "I hate all gun-themed team names" person? Because there are folks who will say that they hate CJA's gun theme not realizing that Cali, Woodlands, etc. have used gun/firearm themed team names before. I think Top Gun has some gun-themed lower levels as well (like BBs.)

I'm not a fan of it either because I don't think it fits them. WE, CA, and TG all work with that theme. CJAs gun theme seems so random to me. And because there are so many teams with gun names it's redonkulous and I wish they chose something else.

Some of Cali's voice overs in the past have struck me as excessively violent and made me uncomfortable but CJA's theme doesn't bother me at all... And every time I hear someone comment on it and it being inappropriate I'm just confused because literally Cali BULLETS.

Yes! I believe the aim was medium but will probably end up as a small team.

Don't bring a knife to a gun fight...from SMOED's routine music literally had me doing a little more than side eyeing.

I'm not anti-guns, but I kinda agree...it's very random in the world of cheer; for all teams, not just CJA.

I think the only thing to make me really uncomfortable and cringe was in CA Snipers routine from 13-14 I think where they had the flyers make gun signs and shoot along to the voice-over.

But I think why so many people aren't fans of CJA's theme is because they literally switched over to it randomly just a little while ago.

Random, but didn't snipers have a different name a few years back? I could be WAY wrong, but I swear Cali had a team that had a religious-themed routine? They changed it completely after the first competition I believe... Or am I losing my mind here?
