Where did you hear that about Josiah?

ETA: what is Alert

There were episodes about it.

It's like Christian military basic training

The male equivalent to Journey to the Heart

I kind of agree with you. Your daughters are victims, absolutely, but it's still your son. What do you do? Are you really going to turn him into the cops? Or do what you can to get help without getting the authorities involved. Is that the right decision? Probably not. But I think they were trying to protect their family.
Your job as a parent is to protect your children, even if that means protecting them from their siblings. I'd be calling the cops.

He'd better. Baby Bin is going to want to eat, and Jessa doesn't have much to offer the world in terms of working

Although if the whole family turns on each other and starts writing tell all books and things they'd be set.

If a Duggar tell all book came out is go Jessa, Johannah, Joy-Anna, Jana in order of who'd write it.

Has anyone read Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jingers book? I think it's about courting but I can't remember.

I read it.

I'm a changed woman

Lol jk no I'm not.

Funny story. For the interview for the position I'm in now, they asked me what book I read last. It was that one. I burst out laughing in the interview while trying to book talk it. My manager is a Duggar watcher and she thought it was hilarious

Also there's an anecdote in there from Jessa/Jana about how Jessa was doing something to upset/annoy Jessa relentlessly. Poking maybe. So Jim Bob and J'Uterus made Jana give Jessa some kind of trinket that Jana really loved (Jewelry maybe?) to show Jessa how much she loved her and forgave her

Cinder'Jana her whole life :(

Naw I think Joy-Anna, Johannah, Jana, Jinger, Jennifer, and " The Jordyn-Grace Makiya: A life overshadowed and Forgotten. My life as one of the lost girls" story

I also only put JA over JH because JA is older. They might write it together though.

With Jessa, Jill and Josie being the least likely. Jessa and Jill because of the kool aid sipping and Josie because I doubt they're ever going to let her grow up, let alone learn to read or write

Ugh poor Jana! But that's hilarious about the interview. I kind of want to read it but don't want to pay for it. I wonder if my library has it..hmmm

I want to be clear that im not condoning their actions. They absolutely should have protected their daughters and their crazy religion and complete lack of sex ed probably contributed to his actions

He should have been prosecuted. And it is disgusting that he was not.
And of course, all the parents can talk about is him and his "suffering".
Sneaking out to that party after curfew is a teenage mistake. Shoplifting is a teenage mistake. Dating behind your parents' back is a teenage mistake.

BUT SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 5 GIRLS IS NOT AN INNOCENT TEENAGE MISTAKE.

I love how Michelle is throwing out run-of-the-mill religious lines to make it seem like everything is okay (I guarantee the Christian community is beyond done with all of you...). "We're thankful for God's grace and mercy, blah blah blah". Funny how they were so quick to condemn and accuse LGBTs of being child molesters, and yet...

And yet...

Hypocrisy at it's finest.

I worked at an emergency shelter for abused youth for a little over 5 years. When a 12 year old molest multiple young kids including their siblings there is an extremely high probability they were also sexually molested as a child. It makes me wonder what other dark secrets are hidden. There should have been a full investigation and therapy/counseling given to all involved.

I could never watch that show because every single time they got pregnant it was "God blessed us with a child". you sure it wasn't your lack of birth control and sexual intercourse?
Apparently birth control is on the same level as abortion for them. And they let God do their family planning.....

That was the first thing I thought about as well.
