Haha fortunately the style of hers worked out well for our prep! At first we were just going to put her up but then we realized we had enough of us to put her husband up! He was little so it was pretty easy and really funny [emoji23] It had been my dream to participate in one of those pictures at a wedding!

My skirt was somewhat similar to hers, but I'd probably do a coed stunt and not a group stunt so he'd be looking straight up my dress and, yea, I wasn't wearing spanks hahaha.

Haha yeah that does make it a little different! She's actually a (really great) base but was smaller than most all of our top girls, myself included haha. She was excited though and her husband was a great sport about it, he was very trusting haha [emoji4]

1. Janet Jackson released her tour dates so I'm super excited about life right now.

2. I'm posting this here because if I post it on Facebook my nephew will kill me.

My 15 yr old nephew from Texas is spending the summer with me. My 10 year old niece (my cheer child) is spending the summer in Texas...so I have no one to take to tumbling this summer...or so I thought.

Last night after picking my nephew up from the airport I was getting bags out of my trunk and he randomly steps into the grass and does what he called "a back flip"

And I was like "um wtf do that again" and he does a PERFECT (considering he hasn't been taught, isn't any any bodies tumbling class ever in life) backhand spring. Legs together. Stretched out. Hips up, ankles together, toes pointed. Y'all, even his sit and swing was right

I was like....where'd you learn that? And it was like "I taught myself in 5th grade on a trampoline " and then he was like "I can do two in a row and one out of a cartwheel"

So as soon as I get off work I'm taking him with me when I help teach a tumbling class tonight.

He's super embarrassed about it though

i hurt my thumb doing rewinds tonight. This is like the 4th time that this happened and of course it happens right before europeans next week. I had to have surgery on the other thumb some years ago and of course now i'm freaking out everytime this happens because i don't want to go through that again. stupid fingers. Also its really swollen which freaks me out even more. not a good night.

HAAAAAWWKKS!

That is all. Carry on with your randomness.

Now I just need that parade on Wednesday or Thursday... NOT Friday. I will have one sad 13 year old if we leave for dance nationals before her first Hawks parade (wouldn't let her go last time, but I promised her if they won she could go this year).

I dont even watch hockey and I was planning on going with my friends as long as its not on Wednesday since I have a hair appointment that I cant really change. And another friend has work on Wednesday. You would think Chicago would have tentative dates depending on what game they won the cup during.

Lol... Suburban people. We just don't go to work on parade day. You don't think 2 million people actually had the day off in 2013, do you? [emoji1] You can't get to work anyway, since 2 million people take up a lot of space downtown.

The parade in 2013 was awesome (although somewhat terrifying at times), so I'll be sooooo upset if we miss it this year.

These are the rare times I actually love living here. This city is LIVE right now.

Eta - they might have tentative dates, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. Chicago is really superstitious when it comes to hockey.

Im so far out of the suburbs that it costs like 22 dollars to get to Chicago and back by Metra. I hate that college students don't get the discount. But yeah I could see them not having dates because of the superstitions.

Last night in Berkley, California a balcony collapsed and 5 Irish J1 students were killed and another 8-10 are injured and in hospital. Reports are saying that they're from near enough to where I live so I'm hoping no one I know is affected. Such an awful situation for all involved.

ETA: turns out I went to school with them. I knew I had a bad feeling about this.
