Sorry for the double post, but dang you Large Senior. Stars, Orange, and Panthers are looking so good this year and we haven't even seen F5 yet. I hate having so many favorites in one division!

I've refrained from commenting on stars until I had an HD version that I could watch 140 times first... y'all know I love them and would still love them no matter what they put on the mat. Initially, I hated the routine. then I watched it 10 more times, and then I watched it from 5 different views and up close to really appreciated the skills. Then I watched it on mute and realized why I don't LOVE it... the music. and I don't mean the theme. Gaga isn't my favorite, but the songs are fine; but they need some editing and more of a backbeat to make it a cohesive track. It feels too choppy and makes the skills look slow and drawn out.

I don't know if I'll ever love the ruffles, but the uniform performs really well.

Now that I've seen Lady Jags, A-Team, Aces, Peach and Super Seniors' routines... Peach definitely has a solid lead in difficulty, especially in standing and running tumbling.

Are one handed front walkovers allowed in level 1?

Yes, it is new this year that tumbling skills do not have to pass through a 2-handed handstand. So all normal level 1 skills can be done with only 1-hand. My mini's are ECSTATIC about the rule change lol. They live for 1-handed cartwheels.

Well here's the full Senior Elite routine. Not sure how I feel about the dance...but my OCD loved the pyramid, when the noises match the moves so well, lol.

Lol... My 7-year-old also thinks one handed cartwheels are really cool! Why though? Do they score higher in level 1?

I actually really like rise up (never heard the song before) and I think Nirvana could be great, but it's REALLY slow right now. Needs a bit more beat. Also, of all of the videos from Xevolution I've seen (not a whole lot, but enough) only Crush looked happy to be performing. Everyone else looked really slow/dead. The routines were fine, but nobody seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I can't comment on Stars' music- I could barely hear it in the one view I was capable of watching. I liked their dance. Pyramid seemed nice (I could sorta hear Edge of Glory), I liked baskets. Anything else right now is just..ok. Not bad, but I'm not in it yet. That's fine, we're only in Nov.

TGLC I enjoyed, but the view I saw, plus their unis and background made it very hard on my eyes. Also- it says something about the state of cheer when that center flyer did that bend back thing, and I looked away the first time thinking she was just doing her 'sexy center choreo'. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more when I can actually see wth is happening.
