I have only shipped International once and it wasn't during the holidays and the cheapest way was almost $40!

I managed to ship mine for around $25 (MO -->Sweden), but the tough part is 1, with shipping being $25 it means less $$ to spend on the gift, and 2, the weight thing limits you. My package was a tshirt and a bow (less than 1lb) and cost $25 to ship. I would've loved to include more (my person asked for bath and body works candles) but the price is dependent on weight so it would be WAY expensive to ship something heavier. I love our international boarders and don't want to exclude them though! Plus I'm sure it's fun to receive something from another country and its fun knowing someone in Sweden will be repping my gym :) it's tough. If only international shipping prices could go down so we wouldn't even have this problem :(

I sent something to @Aussiekat once and I think it was $20 or so. I remember expecting it to be a lot more. I think I sent her a few t-shirts and a jar of fluff, so nothing very heavy.

@youbetterwork thank you so much! Sorry the picture is awful because I couldn't wait and opened it in my car hahaha but I love it! I love getting foreign candy and white chocolate is my fav. I work for Lancome so I already adore Bi-Facil and I needed a travel one and I've always wanted to try the original beauty blender. Also thank you for shipping internationally, it came so quickly and it's fun to get things from all over! And God Jul(belated haha) to you too:)

(sorry if the picture is huge, I'm uploading it straight from my phone!)
Side note- are you the photographer on instagram with the same username? If so I'm obsessed with your worlds action shots!!

Yeah, she also blogs about swedish cheer, and international, her pics are amazing! Here's the albums on her blog: You Better Work » Photos

We definitely plan to start earlier next year. It was a last minute decision this year.
I'm sorry I missed this it looks like everyone had so much fun! I thought it was a thread for team secret Santa ideas. Oops!

I look forward to participating next year! Maybe moving the international deadline up a bit and include tips on shipping internationally. The first time I shipped internationally I was completely lost on what to do. Lol Thanks for organizing this!

I got a message from my secret Santa on the 15th saying that they didn't forget they just hadn't had time to order and that it would hopefully come by Christmas. I have not received it yet, and I am heading back to school in New York tomorrow, but my parents said they'll mail it to me at school if it comes in and I'm gone.

My person should have gotten their present by now so.... Idk. They haven't been on since before Christmas.

You really are AlwaysLearning ;)

This was definitely a fun experience this year and I hope it's around for some years to come. I definitely think starting earlier in the year may work out better---maybe like November 1st or around then to give everyone ample shopping, planning, and shipping time especially for our overseas friends, but otherwise I think it went stellar. Loved the website that was used, I'm part of a few gift exchanges around this time of year and we're all switching to Elfster next year! It was awesome.

I still haven't received mine, but I'm guessing it is on its way....[emoji4]
