Just another great reminder that perception is often more powerful than reality.

I've never posted to this sight but you guys are sounding like a combo of birthers and throw granny from the train. How about you just ask the people involved. I would venture to guess you would get an honest answer. Simple is usually a good start!

I'm sure she has read at least part of it and will reply when she feels like it. She always does when there is drama/speculation/chatter about the gym.

Out of this whole thread, you choose to call that irrelevant and childish? Ok, Boo.

I see you called her boo, are you trying to be a SA?
Since that's like my thing, just because someone else besides me has a problem with the way you talk to people don't mean it's me.

But if you want you can call an admin to do a IP check?

I think that was just her patronizing them. Not being a SA towards you. Kind of like how people down here in NC say "bless your heart" when they really want to roll their eyes.

don't they all? I have yet to see any EP lay the smack down on anyone cheating or playing the gray area. Heaven forbid they lose revenue. That being the case bigger names and bigger programs likely get more deference than Sally Jo's Newbie Cheer Stars that the EP can't brag about attending.

In 2007 or 2008 a program out of Mebane NC was called on the carpet by an EP for having overage athletes on teams. They were "allegedly" turned in by another program, parent or fan of a different gym that had the same issue. The EP went out of the way to call other EP's and ask other EP's not to let that gym compete at their events because they were cheaters. That program that was caught cheating was subsequently bought by another program in NC.

It was a big blow up back on ProX or Imissthexboards I. Lots of internet drama. The big issue then was that because it was a lesser known gym it was easy to call them out and jump on the bandwagon. Nobody was defending them, even though many knew that quite a few gyms did the same thing back then - they just had not been called out on it yet. Everybody was throwing them under the bus for cheating.

My point then is the same as it is now. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If you do it for one, you do it for all. Size, gym strength, reputaion, fan favorites etc. should not matter, period. Once you let one get away with it, it is a slippery slope, and cries of favoritism - whether right or wrong will be hurled.

All of this is a sad statement that the current system of rules and enforcement is horribly inadequate for the size this sport has become.

I wish there were a plan in place that could make it right sooner rather than later. Where I work I could come up with a plan and get membership on board with executing it within the next year.

A kid competed 4 times with the blessing of Cheersport. She was on 2 youth team and 2 junior teams. Was it wrong yes. Should Cheersport have allowed it? No Should we have done it? No Did it have anything to do with Senior teams or winning bids. No The issue was voted on and a punishment handed down that she has fulfilled.

The shitstorm of personal accusations has been disgusting and I'm probably a party of 1 here that thinks the person who posted it should be banned.

I have just recieved a very threatening call from Courtney Pope believing I am the creator of the blog (I am not) and that I am sharing screen shots of it.

So as an effort to clear things up I am going to post this to all 100,000 of you who visit a month.

First, if I was going to create an anonymous blog why the heck would I share it on a message board and risk being not anonymous? That is just silly.

Second, I am no longer coaching in allstar so, to put it lightly, I couldnt give a crap about what goes on besides being a fan.

Third, I have spent the past few days removing posts about this whole fiasco TRYING to protect CEA because I didn't necessarily believe it OR think if it was true I needed to be involved. Instead I get in a heated conversation with Courtney accusing me of writing it THEN accusing me of sending it out. For the record I got send an email a few hours ago saying this blog post was going out to all the major cheer media outlets. I asked 'ONE' person about it. From there somehow it got believed I was sending out screenshots of the blog. Which is blatantly untrue. I in no way wanted to risk my Saturday night with my family wasting it on allstar cheer drama. And that is all I have to say about that.
