I don't even know how it's possible to like cats.
That's what I thought for the longest time. I always hated cats I had one my whole childhood then my friend got a new kitty and brain washed me. After our old cat disappeared and we got a new one I found a new love it was really rather odd

Everytime I accidentally get around them, my eyes swell shut. I think the cats do it on purpose so make the fight even.

It's their magic cat voodo. when they're not making people have allergic reactions they're jumping on them demanding love and attention.

Oh god. And let's not even get you started and the rainbows and unicorns. ;)

We're located in the eastern panhandle. Wouldn't you be close to Ohio Valley All-Stars.... or Champs Central?
Ohio Valley Allstars is all the way on the West Coast side of WV, that borders OH-Marietta side, so that is probably an 1 1/2 hrs if not 2 away from there...:fro:

One time I thought I had a laceration on the white part of my eye when I woke up (just after I was visiting my sister who had "adopted" a stray kitten. It was awful. I mean, I already knew I was crazy allergic to them (and another long ever growing list of things) since I was a kid, but omg I really freaked out that time!! It was like a bubble of gel when I woke up. Had to make an emergency trip to the ophthalmologist.

Im sorry but if this gym is opening up in PA, i think its completely disrespectful to the gyms in that area that could end up losing kids to this expansion. So many other larger gyms such as Cheer athletics, World cup, Top gun and many others could have expanded beyond to what CEA is doing now. But they didnt. Im sure there are millions of reasons why they dont expand to different states and areas but im pretty positive that one of the reasons is out of respect for other gyms. Over all i think it is just outrageous to expand all the way to PA if that is where this new gym is going to be. Sorry again but CEA's ego does not need to get any bigger than it already is, especially with all of this cheerlebrity nonsense going on.

You know I don't think it is disrespectful. Cheer Tyme which is from PA came down to VA and opened a gym in an area that already had cheer gyms - no different. But we don't see it as disrespect - it brings other opportunities because each gym has their own unique style and I have friends at our gym and another gym that have gone to special events they have had (like when Debbie Love came to Cheer Tyme) and Cheer Tyme girls have gone to special things at other gyms as well. Our area now has many gyms but we have friends at each.

OK LESSON LEARNED I should have gone to the last page as I do with most threads and see if the thread had gone to the cats before making any comments :) Love you cat people - you make me smile.

I can't say I've taken the time to watch every CEA team from every location in levels 1-4, but logically speaking, the rest of the CEA teams can't be THAT bad if CEA is able to field level 5 teams in basically every division. Those level 5 kids had to come from somewhere, and again, logically it follows that some of those level 5 kids came from a CEA lower level team. That is not to say all CEA level 5 times are created equal, but that is another separate issue.

Whether I personally agree with CSP's philosophy and where she focuses her time and which teams she personally coaches is neither here nor there; the point is, if CEA's level 1-4 teams sucked that badly, it's unlikely CEA would be able to have so many level 5 teams to filter kids on to as they get to senior age.

And, more generally, it would be near impossible to support as many gym locations as they currently have (never mind potential new locations) with a weak level 1-4 program - even with as many level 5 teams as they have, I doubt that would be feasible.

You should definitely take time and look them all up! For example their 2 CEA gyms from Raleigh and somewhere else that really doesn't matter went to NJ a few weeks ago. Not 1 team other that SSX won! NOT 1!! This is also not uncommon for the most part when we have seen then in competitions. Although we haven't seen them much this year since they are banned from so many of the events that we attend. If we ever saw them in any of our divisions levels 1-rest 5 honestly we didn't really see them as a remote threat. If you truly went through say for example SSX and asked them if they had cheered at a gym previous to CEA I would say that the majority of them would say yes and that they came to CEA with level 4-5 skills. In turn I am trying to say (yes go ahead and attack) that they don't home grow a lot of their athletes on at least SOME of thier level 5 teams! i am not saying they can't or don't teach any skills I am just saying this is what I have noticed over the years.
