There's only 8 weeks left in the season. It's very likely she just made arrangements to live there for 8 weeks. It's no worse than getting a summer job in another city. Also, from what I heard I believe she chose a large all girl team because it is one of only divisions Cali does not compete in at worlds. That's a very respectable thing to do on her part.

someone said 'move to be on another youtube web series lol....sorry, my dad would hit me upside the head if i said daddy can we move so i can be on youtube? haha

I still think its weird that a SE flyer just so happened to quit right before Jenee came over. Weird, but congrats to Jenee anyways!

If Jenee had said in her statement "I'm moving so I cannot finish the season" can you IMAGINE the number of "you're moving, how could just pick up and leave like that, why couldn't you just stay, how could you do that to smoed and do that to eddie and orby and if smoed lose worlds its all your fault jenee!" tweets she would have gotten?

People need to get a grip. How about if she said "I'm a child... I don't actually get to choose where my family lives." If her parents were moving, then I doubt a 16 year old would have any say in whether they moved, whether she went with them, etc. At least any 16-year-old of mine wouldn't. If I have to suddenly move across the country from Chicago, I wish my daughter would try to tell me she couldn't go because of dance.

For the record I'm not buying any of this. I don't think for one hot second her family just happened to be making a move to Kernersville, NC. I don't believe for one hot second that she left smoed because she was moving. And I reeeeeeally don't believe for one hot second that a flyer just happened to quit the same week, and that CEA didn't have 57 alternates already waiting for that spot.

If people knew even 5% of the behind the scenes shadiness that goes on in cheer.... It never ceases to amaze me how much people believe.

(Side note: not in reference to Jenee, just to the earlier conversation. If your child's cheerleading "career" is more important to you than their education, you really need to check your priorities. If you home school because it's a better way for your family, then fine. I home schooled my daughter because it was the best choice for her, educationally. If you home school your child so they can spend more time at the cheer gym... I'm side eyeing you so hard it's giving me a headache.)

How did you get so real? Teach me your way :help:

How is it weird? Amber said SE had a month to find someone. So she told them a while ago... People move, I'm sure Jenee's family isn't the first to move from California to NC. She's lucky to get to leave one great program & find a home in another.

Took the words RIGHT out of my mouth. I'd imagine there are a ton of kids at CEA who are currently alternates or on other teams who are dying for a spot on SE. That's what confuses me the most here.

That said, I don't really think it's anyone's place to judge her handling of the situation or insist that they are owed more information than they've been given. She is a kid and my opinion is that she handled the whole thing with grace and did not feed into the attention-seeking behavior that a lot of the well-known athletes in this sport often do. Whatever happened, happened and no one is obligated to let the public in on it just because Jenee's former team has a popular web series. It seems like Jenee, Smoed and Senior Elite are all doing just fine and I think our job is to wait it out until they next compete and enjoy the show.

Was Amber the one that quit? Awe shes so good. Its not weird that Jenee moved at all, it just seems so sudden.

Was TM back on SE for NCA? I read on twitter she was moving back to SE, so I would assume the veteran of the team would get the flying spot as opposed to someone who is new to the gym.
