I have really sensitive (and constantly broken out) skin too, and I live in Louisiana where there's at least 70% humidity all the time, so it seems like everyone's always oily. I was horrified by the idea of liquid foundation for that very reason, but I was visiting family 4 hours away one weekend and got home to find I'd left my MAC StudioFix there, and I had senior cap and gown pictures the next day. The nearest MAC store is like 2 hours away, so I ran to Ulta and one of the workers recommended the Stila Stay All Day foundation and concealer. (It's got a little concealer thing in the cap; it's adorable.) I've gotten so many compliments on how great my face looks (even from my mom, who always accuses me of not taking care of my skin; I do it's just naturally bad), and it actually does stay on all day (even through work at a cheer gym!). My only complaint is that the bottle is smaller than what I'm used to, so I'll have to buy more quicker. Still worth it though.
Other note: You obviously can't go wrong with MAC, but their liquid stuff hasn't been my favorite. I love their powder though. I had the Urban Decay Naked liquid foundation at one point too, and found it to be a bit chalky. I used BareMinerals a long time ago so it could be different now, but their stuff never seemed to stay on very long.
Try the new bareminerals bare skin!!! I also have sensitive skin and this stuff is amazing!!!! It makes you look radiant. A lot of people say that it highlights your dry spots but if you use a primer it won't! Beware its a bit pricey once you have the bare skin, the bare skin brush, and the bare vitamins primer in your basket it's $78! But if you shop at ULTA or sephora that's free shipping, free gift and lots of points. I really love it!

Does anybody know of good false eyelashes? I'd like to wear some at homecoming, I'd also like a more natural look:)

honestly, I've had much better luck with the cheap, Ardell ones and I've tried numerous high end brands. There is also a Katy Perry line of lashes that I absolutely LOVE, but most of the lashes in her line are more dramatic. So i recommend the cheap ones, just look for the more natural looking ones; either not as long/more sparse or even the individual lashes.

I've used lashes for years, high end and low end. It's really not worth it to spend money on expensive ones, especially if they're for one night. My personal favorites are the Ardell Demi Wispies or the Katy Perry "punk princess". I know the Katy Perry ones come with glue but if you wanted to get a separate tube, duo is the best. Especially if you can find the dark colored duo glue.

So I've been experimenting with dark purple lipstick a lot lately and I realllyyyyy want to get a black one. I want to make sure it's a really nice lip/stick/gloss/stain though because I don't want such a dark color to look tacky or messy.

So has anyone used the MAC Lipmixes before?? I think I'm going to try one of those, but I'm not sure what the texture of them is like or anything. Or if you've had a good black lipstick experience I'd love to know what kind you used!!!
xETA- or maybe a NYC Macaron Lippie?I've never used those before either, though.

i have been in love with purple tone lipstick lately, MAC rebel has been one of my favorites for awhile, and maybelline has some great shades of purple too . i dont know much about black lipstick other then NYX, lime crime, and make up forever professional make some decent shades of black.

Thank you!!! I was totally blanking on makeup brands, and I am definitely going to look into those :)

Isn't purple so fun though?! So far I've just messed around with Revlon lipstains but I never want to take it off!

Some people are iffy on the finishes of them, but if you want a true super black black, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics lip tar in Tarred will be the blackest black lip product you'll find.

Ahh thank you so much!! :)

I just got a job at Ulta! My heart is happy but my wallet is in the corner crying. With the discount it's going to be so hard to resist buying things
Congrats!!! If you don't mind my asking, how was the interview?? I have one on Monday and I'm super nervous!

It was so fun! If your interviewer is anything like mine, it's so laid back. The more questions the better and definitely doll yourself up. The more brands you can knowledgeably talk about, the better. It felt like talking to my friends mom or something. So just be as personable as possible and again, they love questions!

Hopefully mine is the same way, that sounds great! Thank you :)

can someone start a makeup dupes thread. as much as i love high end makeup products, i also love hunting down some good dupes as well.

I'm looking for a new foundation, idk what it is but my Tarte amazonian clay foundation isn't doing it for me, even with moisturizer, primer, and everything on it doesn't cover my redness and breakouts. I've been seeing around that Estee lauder double wear foundation, makeup forever HD, and the kat von d are some pretty talked about foundations. I like a very full coverage foundation and a thicker consistency...anyone have experience on these?

I wear EL double wear. I love it. If I had the money, the Bobbi Brown compact foundation is my favorite for coverage. I buy the mini's (little tiny Bobbi brown compacts - so cute) on eBay and use them with my estee lauder. That way I only have to use them where I need it, and can use the double wear over my whole face.

I think the full size Bobbi is $56? And it's less product than most foundations (most are one ounce, I think this is like half?) That's too much for me, but it's amazing stuff!

I'm also an Alexis Vogel addict. It's so expensive and you can only get it on her website, but I'm obsessed with her and everything she makes.
