i think they need to be careful with the center of the pyramid around 4 minutes. i feel like judges could argue the boys in the double bases are baring her weight.. it doesn't seem fully continuous

This is one of the reasons CSP has judges at showcase AND X-Evolution. She gets a pretty wide range of opinions about legality and overall impression, then adjusts. Also, I have faith that she knows the rules as well as anyone. One of the things we love about her is how she is adaptable and squeezes all she can out of routines.

If judges question it, she'll speed up the "pause"... if it is legal and they call her on it... she'll raise hell :)

^^^I think that's standard practice at a lot of larger programs with higher profile Worlds teams and the resources to have legality judges come to them. Smart.

My gym is having a practice showcase this weekend and we are having a legality judge come in and verify that everything is legal. Usually the first competition we go to (at a highschool) also will tell you the legal mistakes but won't mark you down for it, just given as a warning.

We had a coach from one of the biggest programs in the uk to come to our clean up camp to check for any places where points could be lost and if there were places we could gain points. It really helped us hear it from another coaches perspective

Yes!

I think everyone should have legality judges come out at least once, so you can have the "hey I don't think that's legal" moment at your gym rather than at a comp.

Nothing worse than being called on a legality based on just total oversight on your part (as a coach!)

It's even more important to just have SOMEONE who doesn't see your kids all the time come sit and give feedback.

We spend so much time looking at routines that (believe it or not) there's stuff you just STOP seeing. Or you get so locked in on that thing in the pyramid that won't hit that you miss a possible stunting legality issue in your opening.

Or YOU think your running tumbling section is AMAZING. Then someone else comes in and notices that 4 of your RO 3 BHSs are on the hotmess express with their landings. That's why it's good to have someone else sit in on your practices sometimes.

It's kind of like when you've been working on a paper or work document for so long that you think everything looks fine, then your friend looks at it and says "Um, rejectment is not a word."

It was great because he noticed one legality, changed up the dance a bit and added a couple of motions to make it more seamless it was a tiny bit awkward as he did coach one of our biggest rivals but he was professional and helped a lot

Only thing was I ended up having to sit out half the clean up camp with a massive lump on my head when a alternate flyer headbutted me falling from extension as my normal flyer was injured.

im curious, is there a girl on coed elite this year thats also on ssx. or was did that have something to do with something else.

I know Shannon, who was point on SSX in 2012/13(?) is now on Coed Elite. There was also a girl on Coed Elite that last couple of seasons who is now on SSX who can be seen in the video getting emotional/cheering at the front. I hope that answers your question.

There's only a handful of people that can officially give her the green light on it, and I'm doubting she had Les Stella at the showcase.

She can raise hell, but she better have it in writing from Les or Andre that it's legal if she wants to win that argument. "But they didn't call it at illegal at comp Y" doesn't go very far.
